How did we lose to SFO?

The 9'ers won the battle in the trenches and the Cowboys couldn't contain Kittle. Pollards fumble, Kearse's off sides penalty on 3rd down, and a lackluster offense, were all costly in digging a big hole.

And while SF played without Deebo,
the Vikings did a good job of containing several of the other weapons they do have. Also, the Vikings were without arguably the best WR in the game in Jefferson.

Yeah, but now Purdy has looked dreadful these last two games.
The similarities between him and our QB are obvious. Both can succeed in a game where they don't have to be relied upon to attempt the forward pass, and once their team falls behind forcing them to do so, then tonight happens.

Matchups are a big reason. 49ers are a running team at heart and they could run on you. Minnesota didn’t let them run and forced Purdy to throw downfield.

On the other side of the ball, SF is awesome at taking away primary targets. If Lamb is removed from the game then Dallas’s offense becomes limited. Minnesota got amazing production out of their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th receivers as well as Hockenson…. Even with Jefferson out

Haven’t we don’t nothing but “question why we lost” for the past two weeks?

If we win this week will we need to have another round where we say “we’re looking pretty good! How did we lose to SF?”

Then, if we lose, it will be “it’s OBVIOUS why we lost to the niners!”

They’ve played two games since. We’ve played one and had a bye.

When can we ever stop talking about it? Heck, let’s fire up a thread asking how we could have possibly destroyed the Jets the way we did?
I didn't question anything. I simply chalked the 49ers off as the best team in the league and that no one would beat them. Browns beating them....I chalked it off as our Cardinals loss. But now two game losing streak to the Browns and VIkings? Yeah....time to question it for sure.

Not sure of your knee jerk examples. They don't even seem realistic lol. If we win we will ask how we lost to SF? If we lose we'll say we know how we lost? I mean I guess...not sure what your point is honestly.

We will never stop talking about the 49ers. 49ers are the gauge. They are the obstacle to why we can't win a SB or even get to a NFC Championship game. Not the damn Jets. IF you don't get that then I don't know what to tell you.

Much different scenario here, but I remember the 1992 Cowboys got blasted on MNF in Philly 31-7. Dallas came back and beat them 20-10 the second time and then 34-10 in the playoffs.

Sometimes teams just play awful, even elite teams.
Well, hopefully, the Cowboys have a strong response ready for when we play the Rams to get ourselves back on track like the Cowboys did that year.

I mean isnt' that literally every quarterback in the league? Except maybe Mahomes? Everyone works better with leads.

I'm honestly shocked at how bad SFO looks now. That's why I had to write the OP.
Mild slump, they will be back in their next home game.. 2 lackluster road games with injured Deebo. They'll beat Cincy and probably win until the Eagles game which will be another bigger game. Might lose up to 2 more. Ravens and Eagles realistic have a chance IMO. Their Roadgame to Jacksonville will be interesting but I think they'll win that one.

Probably, but it's still insane lol

MM opened things up a little more against the Chargers and the passing game looked a lot better. But they still need to fix the running game ASAP.
It looked better because Dak was on the move. I don't know how much of that was by design or desperation. If its the former then this offense will have some hope. But i'm calling it now this offense will not hit its peak if Dak is just gonna sit in the pocket and try to dissect a defense.

They really should. I feel like they did all of this offensive change......just to see the Browns and Vikings beat them.

Exactly, and Mike should be asking what those two did that we can do. I think that there's a lot that we can do that the Browns and Vikings did when we next play SFO. I think he and DQ made the gameplan harder than it had to be.

I was going to state that, but it is very obvious that there are few QB's who can do this. I think we have had a couple in our history thought, and one was on TV tonight, lol
Off top Mahomes is the only guy I can think of that regardless of the competition he can wield his team back into a game with the help of his defense of course. I mean yesterday I just saw Josh Allen lose to a Patriots team that I thought had mentally checked out.

What a silly question. Breaking news teams lose on a weekly basis.

Because they are a really good football team?

What’s up with knee jerk reactions?

Everyone wants to be Stephen A Smith with the irresponsible hot takes.
they're good, but really good teams don't lose 2 in a row to poor teams. they aren't even better than the cowboys.

Its suppose to be a copy cat league. Hopefully they were paying attention. Deebo was hurt.....Trent was hurt. But I mean....still......they aren't the unbeatable juggernaut I thought they were.

Run game to smart fans but I won't get into the trolling that will start in here. You don't beat san fran without running........unless you have an elite qb

All the more reason that it might be wise to bring in Derrick Henry. Maybe we can see if they'll take Dowdle and a 3rd? I mean, that would be acquiring a big gun to solve a big problem, wouldn't it?

ESPN likes to crown teams week after week. Prisoners of the moment without any thought about the past and big picture. It's why I can't watch those shows anymore.

That's not how the league works. The Cowboys could look awful and lose to the Rams next week. Yet, turn around and whip the Eagles.

I think he's the ONLY elite QB now. The others are streaky, Allen is becoming a "who knows which guy will show up" player. Actually carry a team, gotta be only Mahomes now.
