IMO last year was the transition year. I don't consider a new Head Coach or staff to necessarily be a transition.

So let's look at our off season.

New top guy, who comes in with a different philosophy that the players for 3 years have been asking to play. Assembles a competent and energetic coaching staff who know how to reach the players.

Yet another solid draft and Free Agency period. Both focused directly on team needs.

I have been saying for years to you Skins fans that high priced rental players do not build team chemistry. If you have Free Agents competing against each other for a spot there can be friction. A rookie knows he has to earn his spot. It builds chemistry.

It also builds depth. We lost Terry Glenn, Patrick Crayton has been a solid fill in and there are enough other weapons to spread the love around. We lost our best CB, Terence Newman, but Reeves has stepped up and played well. now he will be filling in for our other top CB Henry. We lost Ellis, but our draft pick has played well enough that the loss was off set. Guys go down, guys step up. They take up the slack. It is easier to do this when the slack is being taken up by a young guy eager to prove he belongs. JMO.

The biggest plus has been the effect the coaching staff has on the players IMO. Coach Sherman may be the best thing that has ever happened to Terrell Owens. Jason Garrett has been a great hire. So has Brian Stewart. We don't have the highest paid staff in the NFL, but we have guys who can relate to the players under them. It matters.

Mostly the team is playing the game with the accelerator wide open. They are having fun. It matters too.

Finally the final piece of the puzzle is that we have a QB who makes it all work. The kid is simply a great story and one hell of a player.

God loves the Dallas Cowboys... he sent us some trials and tribulations over these last 10 years or so, but we proved we were worthy, now let the good times roll, bay-bee...

His last post before starting this thread was how Romo is too white and fat to run very fast .... so I do not consider that "becoming a decent poster"

but thanks for the advice

Well he's 6'2 and 224 so its tough to understand how he runs so fast...considering he's almost obese on the BMI chart.

1) The BMI is almost completely worthless for use by athletes or anyone with some semblance of muscle.

2) If Romo is considered fat, then what do you call Giants backup QB Jared Lorenzen? A dumptruck?

So do you still think you are going to sweep us and that Romo is a downgrade from Bledsoe?

Tony Romo @ 224lbs.
Let's see 20lbs of mojo plus 40lbs of moxie add 80lbs each of Latino and American heritage, a four pound pinch of balls ,stir it up on any given Sunday and viola you have a big helpin' of Tony Romo. Enjoy and please watch responsibly ,I hear it's intoxicating.:D :D
