How did you guys go from being a team that got beat 3-13 Lions?

What bothers me is that in 2005 it was clear Gibbs was executing his master plan and had overtaken Parcells and the Cowboys in every phase of the game, particularly in the game at Fed Ex.

Since then the Master Plan has slipped and it galls me to think of Gibbs getting outcoached by pups like Garrett and Phillips.

Get used to it... :D

One blowout game meant all that to you?

I don't know about you guys but I have a hard time believing that Romo is actually 6'2 224lbs... He does not look that big to me....Aikman was 6'4 220lbs and he looks like he was much bigger than Romo.

Romo probably weighs closer to 200 than 224. It doesn't really matter how muscular or skinny he is though, he gets the job done.

I read Hogs posts and wonder if I ever sounded that stupid about the Cowboys when they were 5-11? No way.

Well, yeah.

By that point in December, Dallas will have already won the NFC East and secured homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Skins will be playing against Tyson Thompson, Brad Johnson, and Isaiah Stanback in his first significant NFL action.;)

Oh Brother....

This is ridiculous.

You Skins fans are delusional. It kills me how you all point to that game as the measuring stick between our teams....yet you forget how stinking banged up we were.

Here's what we've added since that game:
Flo (missed all but six games that year with injury)
Kosier
Gurode (as starting center)
Davis
Columbo
Romo
TO
Crayton (missed Commander game with injury)
Ayodele
Hamlin

We started Rob Pettiti, Marco Rivera (who left that game injured), Al Johnson, and a hobbled Larry Allen that game.

You guys keep hanging your hat on that game and keep telling yourself you're close.....or if you guys don't....maybe Snyder will.

Better coaching?

Who do you think rebuilt this team?

Dave Campo?

Coaching a team and building a team are two rather different things, troll... if Jerry was willing to step down, I'd take Bill Parcells as a GM in a New York minute... but as a coach, he was holding this team back...

It figures that with your obviously limited grasp of the game of football, you'd fail to grasp the difference between building a team and coaching a team...

I actually stole that line, a coupla years back, after the Cowboys had dropped the hammer on the Skins there in FedEx, some DC news types were interviewing some Cowboys fans who were celebrating in the stadium postgame, and asked them what they thought the Skins ought to do...

One of them replied "rename this place Texas Stadium East, the Cowboys NEVER lose here"... :D

How did you guys go from being a team that got beat at home, by the 3-13 Lions, to what you are today, with a new head coach and new OC? This was suppossed to be a transition year, right?

You pose legitimate questions.
Tell your mom I said "hey"

If I were a Skins fan :)puke:), I'd be more concerned about a formerly 3-13 Lions team who now find themselves at 3-1, atop their division, and headed into FedEx on Sunday hoping to open a can of whoopass on the Skins.

Here's hoping Skins fans hate both Roy Williams with the same intensity on Monday morning...

We got rid of Parcells and started using the talent we had. Parcells obtained much of the talent but was stubborn and quite frankly, clueless, as to how to use it.

I guess they're not actually atop their division, but the point remains that they've won a few games.

LOL. Funny thought - if the Lions beat the Skins, will Skins fans then say "We're 2-2, but look, we've actually played someone - the 4-1 Lions!"

Chicago averaged 11 points in their other three games and then scored 27 against Detroit. Philly scored 56 against the Lions but only 28 in all their other games combined. Why do I have a feeling that Washington only puts up about 20 points in this game?

Because the Foreskins offense really sucks and they can't score even at home from the 1yrd line with 3 cracks at it running behind their suppose to be strong side of their oline.. Their offense just can't score points...:laugh2:

Dude we own FedEx, check our record there and our fan base at FedEx is simply awesome. It's like playing a home game. Texas Stadium II!!!!:lmao2:

we replaced our major major weak spot, that was HC. This is my opinion we have had talent on our team for years, not as much as we have now, but we had some. Yes, even wen the Campo fiasco was sort of in charge.

Parcells added more when he came on board and in 03, along with bringing back the fundamentals, and some tough love, and some discipline, (cannot give him a full credit of discipline because we were still committing drive killing penalties on offense and keeping drives alive on defense with those dumb paenalties).

When Jeff Ireland was hired that is when our talent level really shot up, Parcells, needed help, he did what he could, but J. Ireland is really the man behind all the talent on this team getting better.

Anyway, Parcells and his ego was a major weakness and he held the team back, I started saying this about the middle part of the 03 season and I said it continuously every season until that ego resigned.
