There was doom and gloom here when Micah Parsons was drafted.

I think that came more from the fact most fans thought we'd get one of those corners. Plus the fact Parson hadn't played for a year. But in no way was Parson a stretch. He was clearly the best defensive player left on the board at that moment/

Got our mauling guard, pass rushing DE, and Smooth, fast receiver in the 3rd.

Werent those all the positions most were complaining about?

Just trying to check the pulse here.
I feel just like I did when I predicted the Cowboys would lose to the Cardinals and after the game game many here were saying don't worry about the playoffs Dallas will get things fixed. I know nothing will fix this team until they bring in a QB that can perform under pressure.

So then forever probably because it's been forever since this team has been realistically a contender. And it hurts me to say that.
This is the best team we have had and it’s at least heading in the right direction.

It will take more no doubt. So what?

Every team has holes. Hate to break it to you.
I hate to break it to you, but most teams fills those holes or have a plan to fill them before the draft ever starts. It involves signing free agents to fill most of the holes. If the holes are reasonably filled, the draft will not be full of forced picks.

I love a lot of the talent they get. I just don’t think we’ll see continuous success until there’s changes at the top of the organization and systematic adjustments in the approach to football.

I really don't see how this has made the team any better than last year. The problem isn't the draft as much as we're expecting these rookies to fill in the holes that the FO created by letting all of those players walk. You draft projects when they can sit on the bench for a couple of years. On the other hand, we're expecting a raw talent like Tyler Smith to step in day one and at the least give us what guys who have been playing for years will give us.

Sam Williams is talented, but just like Randy Gregory, Bossman, Jaylon Smith, and a host of other 2nd rounders... will he actually be available?

The 3rd round pick is good, but will he be better than Cedric Wilson? We still have a gap left by Amari.

If you just look at the draft in isolation, it's not a bad draft. If you look at the draft in the context of what we did this offseason, I really don't see how this team got better.

Washington is better than Wilson.

Loved Tolbert in the 3rd.

We've done well on all fronts. We've played our hand well.

Now it's time to just add the best talent to the roster.

Rookies are never going to be what get you over the top and this draft class doesn’t improve the team from last year at all.

We’ll still win the division because it sucks and probably be 1 and done per usual.

You did watch last year, didn't you?

We had a rookie that any team would have loved for anyone on their team to be playing on his level.

People obsess over rounds too much. I like the Cowboys strategy lately. They want players who can contribute, right now.

And all of these players can.

There is only right and wrong. If your opinion is so pathetically off base, your opinion is worthless. And lets not forget that many uninformed Cowboys fans come on here to get educated. People that have no idea what they are talking about are spewing falls BS and are a detriment anyone trying to find out the truth.

Your words last night:

CowboyRoy "Cowboys are pathetic. They forced themselves to draft for need at these two positions and reached on both."

They really nailed the need department. I would say all good picks in need areas. No parsons in this draft.

These players may turn out good……..but they still should have spent some money during free agency instead of sitting on it.

I wanted different guys but these are solid picks. Slight reaches yes.

We didn't force any picks...

You have to be kidding. They filled holes with young talent and got rid of overpaid veterans not earning their salaries. That's a huge win.

They resigned a bunch of good players in FA and signed 3 new guys.
