How Do Ya'll Feel About Dan Quinn Doing Interviews During The Playoffs?

Quinn doesn't have to do any interviews until his current team is out or wins the Super Bowl. If he is such a hot commodity the loser teams will wait for him.
This, if theyre actually in demand then those teams can wait. Prob looks better if their candidate wants to focus on the more important things at hand actually.

I think the league would stop it but it would be viewed as unfair to the coaches as others would be getting those interviews. They would need to put an entire new system in place where you cannot start interviewing anyone for coaching and GM vacancies until after the super bowl.

I'm pretty sure teams still have to request permission to interview a coach under contract & Jerry could deny the request.
Not for head coaching positions. Teams can interview any assistant for a head coaching position w/o approval from his team. Any assistant coach under contract CAN NOT interview for an assistant position WITHOUT the team's approval.

Not a fan at all, tbh. I understand that playoff assistant coaches shouldn't be punished because their teams had good seasons. Losing teams will be able to interview assistants from non-playoff teams, college coaches, unemployed coaches all before Quinn types get a shot.

It's only fair they get a chance to be part of the process...but, it still stinks.

Hiring and interviewing can happen between Mid feb and march. It doesnt take long, and the draft is in april. ITs a joke.
I dunno.

I can fully see how a team that can’t talk to a potential hire until after the SB is two full months behind teams that didnt make the playoffs but are keeping their coaches. That’s not fair either.

Why has the NFL not outlawed this distraction yet?

Can these loser franchises really not wait an extra couple weeks or a month to interview coaches still in the playoff's?

I don’t care if Quinn leaves. I expect it this year.

I do care that his mind is going to be other places during the most important time of the year. You are an employee of the Dallas Cowboys until you’re not, so your sole focus should remain on the job at hand and when that job is completed then do your interviews.

This distraction that loser teams are allowed to cause playoff teams should be stopped immediately.
I agree 100%. The league is so jacked up about tampering rules and yet they allow this. Isn't Quinn an employee of Dallas? I understand all teams go through this but it shouldn't begin for at least 4 more weeks.

The rule used to be no team can interview a coach from another team while they are still in the playoffs. Not even could mention who they were interested in.

Can't remember when it changed. But that rule sucks. I think it is a distraction.

It is what it is, as all playoff teams could have their coaches interviewing for jobs.

Agree Lex, now for teams not in the PO, it should be open season but teams in the PO should definitely be off limits.

Says you. 6 hours film prep or looking for tendencies or scheming could be a difference in a one and done scenario.
Relax. I am sure Dan has plenty of assistants watching film and reporting back to him.

I'm not a fan of it cause coaches should not be distracted until their season is over. I can't control it and other teams are facing the same thing.

I am relaxed. Nothing to get worked up about it.
