My vote was a no vote. BB was a HC in Cleveland and failed miserably. He went to New England as Parcells’ DC. Parcells built that team. when Parcells left all they needed was a top-notch QB. Brady stepped in and they rolled. The winning culture was a Parcells creation that was self-perpetuating. All BB had to do was keep the defense working and stay out of Brady’s way.
There is no winning culture here, there is no defense, and there there is no Brady. (That is not a knock on Dak).
I’d take BB as a DC, but not as a HC.
Pairing BB up with a young innovation HC would be great.

Would love to have an up and comer like Ben Johnson, or Slovak, but Jerry and Stephen would eat them alive. Jealous as hell of Minny, Houston, and Detroit.

But having said that Bill would bring back accountability. Mike is a fine coach, but he’s only allowed to do so much. I would love to see what he could do with Micah.

Do we think losing McClay to let Bill pick his players is worth it? I don't want BB having any part in picking talent for us.

Lots of talk about Belicheat coming to coach our Cowboys. Both in the media and especially in here. How about a sort of mid-season bye week poll to see what everyone is thinking? It's not a given that McCarthy will be gone after this season. However, if he is, then a replacement is needed. So, how do you feel about Belicheat as the successor to McCarthy? Only one vote and it will be visible publicly.
He'd be my favorite with this lot. He is the only one that has any chance at bringing in something the organization lacks. A winning culture. May succeeded or may fail, but no one else has any shot at changing the culture

Would be a win if he could get the clown duo to step back and change the loser culture. However, I would prefer someone new and young like Lions Johnson as one example.

I would say yes, because he may be the only shot of a coach who would be able to keep the Jones Boys in check.

So many questions. Length of contract? Can Bill hire/fire his own staff? Will they commit to getting the players he wants? If Bill wants to change the defense and they only want to draft players this will take all 5+ years to rebuild. Are they willing to try something bold like trade parsons for picks? Just getting Bill isn't enough, it has to be an entire overhaul or it will not make much of a difference.
You bring him in to build for the long haul. He may be getting old, but his coaching tree is extremely extensive and successful. There's no shortage of suitable candidates to carry on his legacy.

Jerry Jones is in danger of losing his committed fanbase. The media is tearing him apart and it's getting to him. He knows he's going to need to do something drastic to calm the storm. Bringing Bill in and giving him free reign would do it. By allowing Bill to build his team and culture, then hand it off to one of his guys when he retires, it not only extends Bill's legacy, but potentially salvages Jerry's. JJ knows this. He's done it before. He'll do it again if his hand is forced, and it appears that's the case right now.

I can't believe some wouldn't want the possible GOAT coach.

Not every young hotshot is a success, you know. Pretty often they're the next Arthur Smith or Brandon Staley.
Bill was good with Brady, were stuck with Dak...

I'd rather go younger, and Belichick doesn't have the best track record without Tom Brady.

I'd still take him over Zimmer (who I think will get the job), and Garrett (some are speculating gets the job) any day, all day.

Brandon Staley’s decision making as a head coach was truly baffling

If Garrett or Zim (considering the state of the defense) get the job, you're going to see a mutiny with JJ directly in the line of fire. I'm not saying it won't happen, but that would be really bad for the entire Jones family.

Buckle up, because it's likely going to be one or the other. Jerry is taking on everybody now, and most especially the fans because how dare we question him! This is personal, so he's going to go for the most fan enraging, moronic hire possible.

BB didn't take over the Pats until 4 years after BP left. I dont believe a culture sustains so long without the person implementing it.

BB then did 20+ years in New England. That was absolutely his culture and build.

Whether he can re-create that in Dallas, with Bozo in charge is suspect. If allowed to do so i have no reason to think he can't.

You're missing the Jets in between, maybe that's the confusion. I couldn't remember myself so I went back and looked some of it up. Hope I was semi-accurate.
