He's banging famous celebrities & is the toast of the town.

He received a huge signing bonus and HUGE multiyear contract (prematurely as usual but that's on our terrible GM).

His dad is treating for (correct me if i'm wrong) cancer.

He seems to be level headed and has a good head on his shoulders.

Lets get real he's living a charmed lifeand isn't going to let a loss ruin his life.

I like the guy but he's not a leader and Jerry grossly overpaid him, way early. Anyone think he'd have taken that CABO trip without a contract?

Yeah right.

We've all heard or read this from his press conference after the 44-6 beating to the Eagles:

"I wake up tomorrow and keep living. You don’t [deal with it]. You just keep playing the game. It’s a fun game, and it’s enjoyable. We’re going to try to win next year. We’re going to try to get back in the playoffs, and we’re going to try to win a Super Bowl.

"If you don’t, OK. If you do, OK. Then you’re really a great player. If you don’t, you’re just a solid, good player, and I’ll have to deal with that, not you guys. That’s just part of the job.

"I’ve had a lot worse things happen to me than a loss in a sporting event, that’s for sure. If this is the worst thing that ever happens to me, then I’ll have lived a pretty good life."

This is a great philosophy to have, but this historic loss does come after his botched snap ended our season two years ago, a horrible showing a year ago in Dallas that resulted in another stinging exit, and now this is Philadelphia. It seems to me that the current approach the takes to the game isn't working, but it seems like he doesn't really mind. He still gets paid, he considers himself "solid," and he's "lived a pretty good life." This laid back attitude needs to go if he wants to start winng games that really count. That is the point, right? If he doesn't start taking this $60 million plus job any more seriously, then it's time to look for someone else.

Personally I don't have a problem with his attitude I think he puts life into the proper perspective. It is a game it is a job it is not the most important thing in life I would still say family comes before any and all other things. Romo puts in the work and time he wants to win he has not claimed himself to be a big time star others have done that he goes out and plays the game and lets the chips fall where they may

We all know these guys have lives outside of football, and their lives will go on. Just don't come out and say that in a press conference 15 minutes after you get your *** handed to you.

I agree with both of u......Romo still cares to win...who says he doesn't? He is right though, abt his life philosophy.....However, its not right to say it publicly right after the biggest loss of the season....

Neither is throwing yourself to the wolves if you do they will eat you alive. All any athlete can do is work hard and give their best if that ends up not being enough then that is how it goes. Now if Romo has not been putting in the work or not giving it his best then that is something he will have to contend with. As Tony said when people were singing his praise it only last until things go bad. He understand how all this works, if he goes out and leads this team to a SB people will once again start singing his praise and if not he will continue to catch heat that is the way life goes in sports. I think Tony attitude is for self survival in this world he lives in
