I feel so sorry for the Falcons. Dumb decisions on one drive cost them everything. A loser is a loser, yes they made the superbowl but no one remembers the loser. Everyone at the party I went to wanted the falcons to win
Same here. Me mum flung some guy into a wall when the Patricheats scored last.

I wanted the falcons to win and they should have. With that said, I'd don't feel bad at all. I heard plenty of crap when the cowboys lost from a particular falcon fan at work...pretty sure he won't even come in tomorrow.

I do really wish we got to see the Boys matchup vs. ATL, I can't believe we didn't get a chance to see that.

I originally thought it would be better to simply MAKE the Super Bowl even if we lose but to lose like that would be absolutely crushing. Don't know if I could have handled that.

You're dreaming if you think we could have overcame a 25 point deficit. No way does our defense contain the Falcons offense. Get real! The Pats were #1 in points allowed and still gave up 21. We didn't have the pass rush to force the strip sack on Ryan or make some of the other stops NE did and most importantly we don't have Tom Brady. It's easy to sit back and blow smoke when the Cowboys are sitting home isn't it?

Did you watch us do it against Green Bay? Or were you sleeping.

We could score 45 on Atlanta!

Not many here scream FAN like you do and not many have a worst track record than you do. Green Bay wasn't near as good as Atlanta did you watch that game? The Packers don't have near the weapons Atlanta has, they didn't even have their #1 receiver when we played them in the playoffs. The Falcons were blowing the Patriots out but they were facing the greatest QB in the history of the game and they got the rug pulled out from under them.

The Falcons would have put up 40+ on us. The Cowboys weren't near the team the Pats were by the time the playoffs started. You're completely lost if you think because they overcame a 25 point deficit to win we could've done it. That's hilarious and shows the lack of insight you have. All anyone has to do is check your archives to see the lack of insight you have. It's a treasure trove of blown calls.

I'm thinking it's better to not make the Super Bowl than to go there and lose the way Atlanta did. I feel bad for those guys. That loss will never go away.

Matt Ryan still had a chance to win the game after New England tied it at 28 all with 57 seconds remaining in regulation. Plenty of time to get the team in position to make a game winning FG. An MVP does that sort of thing.
Couldn't believe how much time Ryan wasted with 57 seconds. Prescott, Romo, Rodgers at least gives their kicker a chance with 57 seconds

Crushing loss. Will be on that team's mind for a long time. They had it. In the bag. And let it slip through their fingers.

Serious gut punch that will sting for a long, long time... particularly since that team has never won a world championship and because Matt Ryan is known for not getting it done in the post season.

Yeah, that monkey on his back just became a gorilla.

Glad I'm not an Atlanta fan.

it was so bad i think atlanta is gona suck next season. it all crumbled into pieces ... literally.

That's funny because it's user opinion vs opinion.

"Would have" = your opinion

My opinion = I think we beat them. You are thinking linear terms. Never accounting for intangibles, variables ... or even opportunities that may present themselves.

Being that the game never happened.... as smart as you are.... YOU don't know.

I said after the last Pats Championship that Seattle would never be the same because of how it went down. Atlanta is a lot younger so may recover but not next year. You simply need at least a season to recover from that kind of loss. It stays with you.

This was a loss worthy of Garrett

After everything, Falcons were 2nd and 7 at Pats 25 yard line with a little over 3 min to go already up 8 points

All they had to do was run the ball twice and kick a FG and go home champions

I turned to my friend and said, now watch them get cute and try to pass the ball and mess it up

2-7: 10 yard sack
3-17: offensive holding
Punt

Why in the world would you try to pass the ball there?

Garrett would have done exactly that

Get real. Our corners against Brady or Ryan?????
Laughable.
We are 2 corners and a monster DE from a Super Bowl.

Several teams can say something similar. The NFL only has about 5 "monster DEs" so I guess we will be waiting for a while.

Fact is we had the players to win this year and we blew it. Saying our 13 team would've been crushed at home as favorites by Ryan does make you feel better though. Will we have a better chance with a couple more defensive players? Maybe. There is no way to know if we will get as far as we did this year though.
