Just a reminder as a younger fan who missed the 90s how great Emmitt was over a long period of time... wow...

It will depend on the coaching staff and if they can stay committed to the running game. We saw glimpses of their collective Alzheimer's against the Commanders and started straying from what was fueling their early season success.

1800 is doable if he doesn't get hurt.

He is also on pace for double digit fumbles as well........................this brings up a good question.

If Murray has 1800 yards rushing with 12 lost fumbles, do you resign him and for how much?

I think $4 or $5 million a year is as high as I go, no way in hell do I give him $8 million a year to a back that constantly fumbles.

But what if he only fumbles like twice the rest of the year? I think he's getting $8mil no matter what.. The workload will probably be more of a deterrent than the fumbles. He's not getting more than four years.

If he cuts the fumbles down, great. However, by week 9 I am not too optimistic the problem is going to go away. Especially when Murray says he is not going to change his running style and will fight for every inch, that leads to getting stripped in a pile.

If he wants $8 million a year, he can go play for Jacksonville.

It's not as much as the actual fumbles but the way he carries the ball. He is very careless with the ball and I have seen numerous times where he was actually lucky that he didn't fumble the ball even more. He doesn't protect it well. At this stage of the game, that should not be an issue. There is no denying the fact that he is an absolutely outstanding running back. However, his ability to hold onto the ball is an issue that is fair game in my opinion.
