Randle and Dunbar can't hold Murray's jock? I thought all we had to do was insert any runningback behind this oline and were good to go?

I didn't say any running back. Randle and Dunbar weren't taken in the first three rounds.
I said that ...
a.) based on the value of running backs, you can get a very good running back in lower rounds.
b.) Murray himself was discovered in the third round.
c.) this offense line is so good that a very good back and also have success behind it.

I don't consider Randle or Dunbar as very good backs.

Doesn't belong? I guess Dallas should just cut him to avoid the risk of him joining that list

No...no...I don't mean that. I just worry about his injury history. I am against signing him to a huge deal. He reminds me of Troy Hambrick and AP at the same time...

There were many here that said ANY back can run behind this line. Murray would have projected a first round pick based on his combine numbers. He dropped to 3rd rounder because of his injury history. Thus he would have gone higher in the draft.

If we can guarantee the same productivity that Murray gives from a lower round pick than I'm all for it. But there is no guarantee thats going to happen, even if we go with a high round pick. Lets not fool ourselves. Its better to go with a sure thing than to use a lower round pick to replace Murray. Randle is a lower rounder and you can see the difference in results. Its best not fix what isn't broken.

Well, I'm not the many who said ANY back can run behind this line. And you quoted my post and suggested that I said what many have said, which I didn't.

Second, I've already said if we can sign Murray to a reasonable contract that rewards him for his productivity and value but doesn't "bankrupt" us, good. Let's end on agreement.

a record would be cool... but not nearly as satisfying as a playoff victory.

also, if dallas rides murray to 2,000 yards or close to it, the team had better plan on letting him leave in the offseason.

the top 10 highest rushing yardage seasons in nfl history tell you 2 things:

1) your team is going to the playoffs
2) your RB will never be the same afterward
