I cat see the op but I can imagine what it says, I don't see Murray taking a beating from another team. It anything will slow him down it'll be a non contact Injury.

Single game.

A friend also pointed out longest run. So actually there are 4 and we own two. I want him to bust off 300 against Jville.

There is also the single season TD rushing record and the career TD rushing record.

Gotcha. Thanks.
Who owns that record now? Jamal Lewis?

2. Emmitt Smith, 1992, 1713
3. Tony Dorsett, 1981, 1646
4. Emmitt Smith, 1991, 1563
5. Herschel Walker, 1988, 1514

Hard to see Murray not getting into the top 3.

Frankly I'm more concerned about his fumbles.

I gotta admit it, I want him to get that record. How cool would it be to have Cowboys owning two of the three biggest rushing yardage records that there are?

That record would be sweet next to Emmitt's and Dorsett's. Even sweeter next to his SB MVP. :D

Yeah, I was thinking only yardage. I think LTs single season one might be hard to catch.

Hopefully coaches start calling his number much more in the redzone. It was automatic for Emmitt whenever team got that close, should be the same way for Murray.

Murray will destroy Emmitt's franchise record of 1773 yards IF he stays healthy and isn't plagued with a nagging injury that lingers. The big issue with Murray has been his health it was his inability to stay healthy that lowered his draft stock.

Here is the list for yards from scrimmage. Herschel's 1987 season was very impressive. He did that in only 12 games due to the strike/lock out and of course had to split carries with Dorsett.

Based on Murray's history with the Cowboys and the large number of carries he's getting this season I will be surprised if he doesn't sustain some sort of injury that derails the great season he has going. I certainly hope that doesn't happen but we did get a scare a couple of weeks ago when he turned his ankle. Fortunately he was able to come back in the game and it didn't limit him.

Murray has to be just right to be effective. Because he's a cutback runner any lower leg injury that affects his ability to cut and change directions limits his effectiveness. We can only hope that he stays healthy because if he does he has a great chance to exceed 2000 rushing yards this season.

If he doesn't hit number 1 something went terribly wrong. Not only for him but this team.
