How Many More Wasted Snaps does Zeke get?

Zeke is a progress stopper, I'm not thinking Deuce is a decent NFL RB, but I definitely believe he should get the carries behind Rico to see what he can be. The Cowboys are unserious for having Zeke on the roster, and a joke for giving him reps...it's a waste.

I remember you and I both posting advanced stats for years from years ago during his prime that showed he was like underperforming expectations, but quite a decent margin...but ppl love their fav players. He always seemed a me-first player in spite of accolades to the contrary about his blocking, etc. That feed-me thing was just annoying. Wanted to love the guy, but I maintain more than a few RBs could have put up similar numbers behind those early lines and that is recognizing how historic his performance was, but moreso how great those lines were. I think you posted something about his number of runs over 40 yards is so far down the bell curve of statistically likely, something like 5 in 2000 carries.

Now I hate on him more than I should as he's just an avatar for the current state of the franchise. And I'll also suspect Garrett didn't do him any favors, but I just imagine there were so many 50+ yard runs, or even 10-20+ left on the field.

I will say this - his negotiations skills were definitely top-5 worthy and good for him - hopefully he's just sitting on that bag and can enjoy life.

This is correct. Zeke hasn’t been an “elite” back since 2018.

...I beg to differ. Zeke does alright, if he doesn't fumble.

I still would use Cook more. Cook/Rico combo would work.

Even Henry and Barkley are given a breather with another back getting a few carries. They’re afraid to spell Rico with Deuce because he’s had several no gains and negative carries. At least Zeke is still able to fall forward for a yard when he runs into a brick wall.

The least he can do to earn half of his 2 paychecks from dallas is by having to be at practices and playing a bit. Lol

I like Zeke. I loved what he gave this team for many years. But he is done as an NFL player.

The only snaps he should be seeing are on 3rd down because he excels in picking up the blitz and is still a nice receiver out of the backfield. But I noticed the Cowboys are giving Hunter Luepke that role now.

I agree with those saying Zeke is now a progress stopper. I would rather Dallas move on and possibly add Malik Davis off the practice squad.

Sad to say Mike Tyson has more quickness then Zeke right now. I am stunned how slow he hits the hole. Has to be one of the most overpaid backs in the league based on production.
