I feel like they stumbled upon the fact that having dominant lines of scrimmage and a great running game can get you deep into the playoffs-even with a JAG playing QB. Purdy took advantage of a great supporting cast. Dak has done the same before on this team.We haven’t seen near enough of Brock Purdy to know how good he is. He could be a flash in the pan for a few games for all we know. He had a great team around him, including a great defense. We’ll see how it goes for him this season.
And if they had a QB they probably win a Super Bowl. They have been to two consecutive NFCCG and were in the Super Bowl a few years back. I don’t think they care about whatever window you are speaking about.
They have already had sustained success with Joe Schmo at QB for the past 4 years. 3 trips to the NFCCG and 1 Super Bowl appearance where they came extremely close to beating Mahomes. Their margin of error seems more easily repeatable than you are insinuating. And if they had a QB they probably win a Super Bowl.
Their success is unsustainable because they can't throw the ball. They're aging and play a style that gives extremely little margin for error - there is no path for sustaining anything there.
They forget that even the team's Twitter account rolled his overpaid @@@ under the bus after the last Niners debacle.8 games if he continues to see a receiver with a step outside, pulls the ball down, pats it, creates pressure, and makes bad decisions.
Yes, I'm serious.
Man enough already what Cowboy QB have you been watching the last 2 playoff losses? As much as some of you would rather have a castoff that’s flamed out with multiple teams as our starter, that won’t be happening for a while. But when it does, and we go back to the days of the Ryan Leaf’s, Vinny’s and Bledsoe’s, that’s when you’ll find out that Dak wasn’t as bad as many of you thought he was.
They didn’t look nearly as good with a QB they gave up the farm to get. Brock Purdy could be a flash in the pan or something special. What I do know is he benefited from playing on a really good team. He’s coming off a pretty significant injury so we’ll see how it goes this season.I feel like they stumbled upon the fact that having dominant lines of scrimmage and a great running game can get you deep into the playoffs-even with a JAG playing QB. Talk about enough already. Why don’t you go find something else better to do than spending time here hating on Dak Prescott. You obviously don’t see how strange your agenda is. Just stay on the board of the team you’re a fan of. Every time the Cowboys win a game you don’t show up after the game. You only show up after games when they lose. Go find another act.Man enough already what Cowboy QB have you been watching the last 2 playoff losses?
Ya man, all is lost when Dak is gone.......
I never said Trey looked great. My point is they plugged a guy that no one (including themselves) thought very highly of and made it to the conference championship game. Good QB play is actually much easier to find if you are dominant in the trenches and have a great running game. You need a guy that won’t poop the bed (which Trey may have a problem with)-and he must avoid throwing into heavy traffic. They didn’t look nearly as good with a QB they gave up the farm to get. Agree. This is his last season as a Cowboy.
Why do you think there hoarding 20 million in cap dollars?
For you, Dak lovers man up and admit he's had more than his share of chances and fallen flat on his sweaty deer in the headlights face!
The 214 era ends in the Spring of 2024.
Yeah, it’s been awhile.wow another dak thread im shocked
Didn’t say you did just pointing out that Lance didn’t look good. The lesser a team you have the more your QB has to do. Purdy never had to pass the ball for more than 285 yards in any game. He only had a couple of games with more than 30 attempts. He has a great team around him, but stick him on another team that isn’t as good and his warts will show.I never said Trey looked great. The problem is the Cowboys aren't looking for anyone better. They have no interest in trying to find someone better. As long as the Cowboys are winning games and he’s giving us a chance he’ll continue to be the starter. The Joneses won’t be looking to replace him until they find someone better. Sorry haters!
What do you want them to do use a premium draft pick on a QB when they have a solid starter and have other needs? They’re finally making progress in back to back seasons, why waste a premium draft pick on a player that’s going be on the sidelines? They used fifth round pick on Mike White and a seventh round pick on Ben DiNucci. Dak was a fourth round pick so you can hit on a QB later in the draft. Romo was undrafted and became a solid QB. As for Alex Smith he was entering his 14th year in the league when KC drafted Mahomes. He was aging and they were looking to replace him. The Cowboys haven’t lost hope with Dak yet. Many of the fans may have lost hope but the team hasn’t.The problem is the Cowboys aren't looking for anyone better. They have no interest in trying to find someone better.
Alex Smith was a good QB in KC but that didn't stop them from drafting Mahomes.
I suspect that Dak will be here longer than Jerry.UNTIL SOMEONE convinces Jerry it's time to let go
