What position? I was a goalkeeper and defender.
I was a center forward and GK as a kid.
I played on teams 2-4 years older than me.
But I changed my body type as I aged to thicker and more explosion based for football.

In high school I was a center fullback and the back up GK as a freshman.
Coach wanted me to focus on Goalie and go to position camps then start there as a sophomore but soccer was overlooked at my school so I followed football.

I never played real football but a ton of pickup games. One nigfht...WAY back! attending University of Toledo...we had a pickup game in the dorm quad..a light dusting of snow on the hard frozen grass. A kickoff came to me and I tore up field. within a few seconds my legs got wrapped up and down I went FAST!

I got up and checked all my parts. A-ok! I turned around and told the guy "helluva tackle dude". BIG black guy said he was on the Rockets football team.

Moral of the story is I do know what's it's like to get rolled up by a real football player. That's all I got. :)
Watched the game today I hate OSU but I’d take stroud and Harrison jr in a second even though Ohio state qbs rarely translate in the nfl

From 2nd Grade up to two years in college at a NAIA school. Our coach died at the end of the season and that was pretty much the final straw for me. It just wasn't fun anymore and I knew I was not going pro. It was a serious time committment even at a NAIA school. I am 47 and still miss it. Nothing like the competition, the bonds with other players, the smell of the grass, even the drained feeling you have after a long hard practice.

I played middle school through Senior year. DFW private school but competitive and we’d play local 3A schools. WR/DB/K

why? are you one yourself?
I think he was joking, because he always finds himself justifying the officials' calls to the more conspiracy theory based posters here, who tend to blame the refs or contend they got important calls wrong. Thus, some of the less classy folks accuse him of being anti-Cowboys, or worse yet...an Eagles fan.

Plus they accuse me of being a ref's relative, lol. I only got the dreaded "Eagles fan" accusation once and let me tell you my water bill was sky high that month from the constant showering I did to help erase even the thought of that insult sticking to me.

I've noticed that... I remember when I wanted to spend half my time on a message board justifying the officials' calls

I disagree about the part of your post where you say he finds himself. But here, I'll help him with that

HS defensive end and guard, I sucked at 5’10 165lbs! Still only 174lbs though, HS weight room training still with me to this day. Pushing/pulling metal is a beautiful thing in some odd way! Great for the mind and the body!

They really tend not to for some reason. The other positions tend to be successful.

Played pickup football since grade school age. Went to private church schools after 6th grade, so only played in flag football leagues. I played QB, WR, punter, and DB. I wanted to play tackle football in high school and college, but the church-run private high schools and colleges I attended at the time wouldn't allow it. I had an opportunity to try out for UTA football, but had already signed with a private college just prior to the offer.
I also played tennis, was a point guard in high school and college, and was a fast-pitch softball pitcher for an SMU frat rat team (after I was out of college.) I had a screaming fastball and could move the ball anywhere over the plate.
I was a WSI instructor and taught American Red Cross Lifeguard classes as well as ARC sailing.
If I threw a football today, I would have to retrieve part of my shoulder joint lol!
Love sports and the Cowboys!!
ARC sailing, very cool! I was way into sailing for awhile. Had a Pearson Flyer 30 from 85 to 90 timeframe. Flat deck and an absolute joy to run around on. Pretty much a larger J-24. Fun times, nothing out there like sailing.

Harrsion is the real deal. That man is a total beast ...run routes and magic catching the football.

Stroud will suffer the same fate as most of our other NFL-caliber QBs. NOT enough time on the field. These guys play a couple years with NCAA elite WR's and RB's and think that will do it. They never grow and mature.

Then they get a on a crappy NFL team (see Justin fields) and suddenly struggle.

Not that it's easy to walk into NFL success.
