Don't play around in your manner of self proclamation. All you attempted to do was argue and slander by insult.

Run on back into the streets and get run over...and if you feel intimidated by what I wrote, that is just arriving at a wilting lilly state.

OH, and don't forget to take that trash mouth with you...you are done as far as a conversation with myself. Toodles.

You came at me big guy with the big life who is on here 24/7, not the other way around Mrs. Bigshot. It's really scary how easy it is to see that some people on here just don't have a life.
Why do even bother......especially after "toddles"......yikes

Valid point, this applies to players as well, some come into great situations with good HC and teams, others get Phillips, Garrett and horrible Defenses. ;)
Not talking about Mo, he looks like a bust, just overall, your career often dependes on the team who drafts you.

Luck? I wonder if Tom Landry was lucky when he coached throughout his tenure, or maybe he was just unlucky at the end.

No, I think luck is good for short term success, maybe you are in the right place at the right time to pick the right player and that makes you lucky, but over the long term your success will be determined because you worked harder, were smarter and had the right strategy.

It's funny how the Cowboys luck seems to have run out after Jimmy left the team.

I remember Pat Summerall making a comment back in 1990. Thanksgiving day game, Cowboys, Commanders. He and Madden were talking about all the draft picks the Cowboys still had coming to them yet.
Emmitt had just ran for a long TD to pretty much put the game away.

He said if the Cowboys get lucky in the draft, and that's just about all the draft is, is luck, they will build something great here for a long time.

The good ol' Summerall/Madden conversatrions. Loved football then! still love it.

Jimmy was so enraged at the idea of luck, he forbid that word to be used around his team. Thus Jerry Jones started using the word serendipity. He even said so on th3e local Dallas radio once during the 93 run.

LOL, yeah I remember that. I thought at the time, it's such a big word for him. But they were winning, so no one said much about it that I know of.
I was living in South Florida at the time, but seen in on ESPN.
