The front office and coaching are literally the most important things in the NFL now, unless you have a super elite qb, which Dak is not.

The 49ers and Eagles don't have great teams, but they STACKED the deck in their favor. 49ers were aggressive in getting McCaffery. Eagles got all kinds of players. Meanwhile we are trading away our best receiver and letting our D line depth thin out and bringing some cheap vets in.

There's a reason we stomped the eagles the past couple of years when Jalen Hurts was at the helm, and yet Hurts is now looking like an MVP. They have great coaching and an amazing front office over there. Imagine how they will look when they use that top 5 pick next year to get even more talent...

Meanwhile we get rewarded with soft, Jerry friendly coaching and Stephen Jones' bargain shopping. Our limit is the 2nd round with an organizational structure like that.

If you need proof coaching matters, look at how much better we got when Quinn got here.
Man you are on fire with that post!!!
With this dysfunctional front office divisional playoff appearances are our ceiling.
The playoffs, with talented well run teams expose us for what we are:
A poorly run franchise.
How many other franchises are run like a family owned Super market with family members only having their positions due to DNA?

that the INT didn't lose the game is a bit disingenuous. those 2 pick were worth -26% in win probability. they had a 67% win prob right before the 2nd pick. that would have been over 75% if the went 13-6 into halftime. plus you aren't accounting for the 2 or 3 dropped into as well (i.e. greenlaw).
When you do the math, factor in losing your running game and tell me how that made the situation much more dire.

it didn't cause a 6 point swing before the half. it was 2nd and 2 with <1:30 before half. one first down and sf doesn't touch the ball, probably wouldn't anyway.

he failed at capitalize on opportunity. he was outplayed by a 3rd string 7th rd QB.

Aren't you assuming they would have scored? If he is such suckage, then assuming he would have gotten them to the promised land by being so close kind of counters your Dak ain't Jack argument. Doesn't it?

The first pick was in the SF Red Zone. 3 Free points, The 2nd in our red zone before the half where SF would not have even gotten the ball.
Without that garbage, it easily could have been 13-12 with the last drive needing 50yards in 45 seconds for a potential winner vs 90 yrds. More importantly, you keep Purdy uner pressure
It was garbage QB play, that was the primary difference in the game.

Two playoffs in a row, we lose in scarily similar fashion to the 49ers. That's all Jerry's work right there.

Is this a serious question? Since he has been head "football guy" for the last 27 years, I will go with all of it for a thousand Alex.
all of it. he is the GM. he is responsible to put a team together. he is responsible to hire the coaches. he is responsible for the contracts and the cap. everything in the organization runs through him.

Because they do draft incredibly well and they are consistently in the playoffs almost every year.
"Consistently in the playoffs almost every year"?
Have you been watching video clips from the 1970's?
This is the first time we've been to the playoffs in consecutive seasons since 07/08.

We all know Dak was horrible tonight, but year after year when Jerry sits out on free agency or afraid to pull the trigger on a trade, you get what you pay for. Year after year, Jerry and his family sit out on free agency, they don’t go for it anymore and sure enough now it’s been years without even a conference championship game
I said it once. I say it again. 100% is on Jerry. he is responsible for the product on the field. he hired the coaches. involved in the draft, put the team together, gave out the contracts.

All the owners are 100% responsible for their teams. Jerry has shown his front office can build a good regular season winning team but not one that can go deep into the playoffs.

Jerry has formed some teams that should've been a sb. 2014, 2016 imo they could've been in the sb. Refs influenced both of those loses

Until JJ and Co get a real team president and GM to run the daily operations the blame game starts with anyone named Jones and a QB named Dakota "WENTZ 2.0" Prescot! It's obvious that this organization isn't getting deep into the playoffs until major changes are made.

All of it
A team is built by the person in charge of building it
The staff, players and all come back to the person who hired them
