You’re acting as if our coaching staff is particularly adept at managing their personnel. They are not. Byron Jones is not the bust that many people are making him out to be. They should exercise that option.

Thing is, most people form opinions on one or two bad plays they see in highlights and don't go back and watch the actual games.
There are sixty-plus plays a game and Jones has covered at times Cobb, Fitzgerald, Ertz, Reed, Gronk, Kelce, ect. in man and shown ability to cover well.
Heck, watch Jourdan Lewis against the Chargers. It wasn't pretty at times.
He gave up some huge plays.
Made some nice plays too.
He's still a good young CB.
Jones is still a good DB- should be CB.

He got toasted playing corner as a rookie which is why he was moved to safety. Now that he hasn’t looked good playing safety they’re moving him back to corner. He’s nothing but a JAG.
