How naive that fans want to blame just one person for all the playoff failures

You have to throw out the GB game for the defense. Quinn was pissed he wasn't getting the head coaching job in Dallas like he was promised behind closed doors. What was Daks excuse?
So Quinn was so mad he decided to put a crap show defense on his resume'? That sure made him a more attractive hire across the league.

I swear some people will think of anything.

Offense

You must have a balanced attack proving that you can both run the ball and pass the ball. The most important part of that balanced attack is being physical at the line of scrimmage when running the ball. The offensive line needs to dominate at the point of attack. Once you establish the run, it opens up the passing game. If you can dominate the line of scrimmage on offense, impose your will and take the life out of them physically, you’ll have much success.

Defense

The #1 priority of the defense is to be able to stop the run. It’s paramount to having a good defense because if you can stop the offense from running down your throats it means that you’re controlling the line of scrimmage. Again, physicality. Imposing your will on the opposing teams offense. It turns a team into a 1 dimensional team. Then you have them where you want them. If you can’t stop the run, you’re doomed in the playoffs.

Bottom Line

It’s all about physicality. It’s impossible to do either of the above if you can’t control the line of scrimmage. And you can’t just do 1 well, you have to do both well. Physicality is what football is all about. Controlling the line of scrimmage. The Cowboys haven’t been able to do both in the same season since the early 90’s. Yet CZ fans want to blame just one person for all the playoff failures. To put it nicely, how naive.
In today's NFL it all starts with the QB, can he lift his team on his shoulders and carry their teams to victory. Well. Prescot is not that type of QB, BUT he's being paid like he's the guy and when you're pulling down a huge chunk of your team's CAP SPACE and don't show up in big games then it's time to move on........................ Prescot has proven that he's not going to compete in the big games so why waste all that CAP on him?????????

There is no single golden bullet to success, nor defining failure.
The problem includes Dak and that he's a MVP class QB,with a lead, but he's an 0-3 QB in Play-Off's when trailing.
Yes, he needs a running game.....however, our offense v GB didn't fall apart due to the lack of running game, it was that Dak chose to pass (and couldn't execute).
Great Post....thank you!

You must severely over evaluate this team. With Mahomes on our team last year we still don't win a SB.

Mahomes or Burrow would have kept us in the game until the defense could have caught a break or spark. The defense could get neither and the score was 27-0. Offense wasn't helping either.

Defense had nightmares of the prior 2 post seasons where they played lights out and kept the team in out. Only to be let down by a total failure of an elite QB.

He was already hired, just hadn't signed.

Dak and Lamar Jackson were the only two players to receive any MVP votes last year. Jackson blew out Dak who only had one vote, but that one vote was more than any other player in the league.

And when was the last time a Pro Bowl meant anything?

In fact did it ever? The Cowboys had the number one defense in 1992 and not a single Pro Bowl player.....
Actually Dak received 0 first place votes, Josh Allen received the only vote for first, one vote.

Hell the only ask of Prescott was to not turn it over. That alone would have helped a lot.

So take away Daks 2 interceptions and the score is 13-7 going into the half and it’s all the D’s fault talk about naive, Dak playing poorly was a prime factor in the loss, you just can’t admit it. Shame they don’t have a playoff choking award Dak would have a mantle full of them.

Defense not showing up at all is a None Factor right?

Mahomes or a burrow would have scored 8 TD's in a row.

13 first half points without Daks helping GB. D wasn’t very good but seeing the O do nothing didn’t help
How many points did Dak score with our defense helping him? Oh I forgot, they didn't, never mind.

It’s funny how Daks horrible performance is now because the D didn’t score and carry him, what you want is a D that’s only gives up 9 points a game and if you have that you don’t have to pay 50 million or more for a QB who only plays well for 6 minutes in a playoff game. Spin anyway you want Dak was the QB who spearheaded the most embarrassing playoff game in Cowboys history.
