How often QBs throw into tight windows and their turnover worthy play rate (on all throws)

Dak supporters will say the receivers aren’t getting separation. His critics will say he’s throwing to the wrong receiver because there are other receivers who are wide-open that he fails to see. I think it’s a combination of both. I’ve seen plenty of game film this season where he isn’t even looking at half the field where receivers are wide open. I think the problems with the OL is are his head and he’s rushing his throws so he doesn’t get clobbered. He doesn’t have Romo’s mobility so he can’t mask the OL deficiencies. It was a monumental mistake to give him the contract he got.

I'll say most of the time, NFL QBs have to be able to throw into tight windows. In the college, you can throw to the open guy, in the NFL you have to throw the guy open. Any miscommunication, poor route, poor route running or tripping/stumbling on routes will do you in.

On the other hand, unless you have an exotic offense or run a West Coast type offense or have decent game plan that has a running game just for pure honesty.........you may look like trash. All that on the QB. Give me $70M.

No run game to respect. Defense are dropping back into coverage and wrs can't separate because of it.

Its super easy to blame everything on Dak, but give me a break. There's more than one broken piece on this offense.

Of course it’s super easy to blame everything on Dak. He has just signed the most lucrative deal in NFL history. A lot of his fans want to blame the running game (both offense and defense in that regard), and there is some football logic to that. A lot of of it, actually.

But what do you expect? When the QB makes the most money, he gets most of the credit when things go well, and most of the blame when things don’t. About 30 million of his 60 mil per is for being able to say the right things in front of the camera at the podium. The Cowboys are a business, and Dak knows how to play this game of business.

How many games does it take for fans to see he holds the ball too long? No anticipation and his accuracy is awful. Someone please get out the videos of QB accuracy vs Garrett and Carr. But look at those stats! Lots have no clue what they’re seeing on the field. Gotta go to those fantasy, garbage time stats.

I understand the sentiment, but it amazes me how much "football logic" escapes our ignorant fan base. They'll trash him after a win or any numbers of scenarios where it just doesn't apply. I'm not a defender of the guy and was on the fence for extending him, only because I didn't trust Jones would actually spend the savings aggressively. At the same time the logic doesn't check out far too often and that's when I make the mistake of saying something.

Just the other day Dak had the highest turnover worthy play rate. Then he has 2 bad INTs, and almost a 3rd and he has the lowest?

Something is off.

Edit: nevermind - I didn't realize the turnover worthy side got higher as you go lower.

I ask, where are the quick short throws to receivers running crossing routes within 5 yards downfield of the 1st Down line???

For the time he needs to decide when to throw the ball( yes he's slow and dumb and panic-riddled back there in the pocket) the WR/TE is covered.
Only time he can complete a long ball is like the lions game where the CB fell down.

After 9 seasons of Dink and Dunk prestrash, no excuses are available for this dimwitted QB!!

If you theory is correct why not more QB's on the far right side?

Why does Mounatian Mahomes have big windows and more INT's?

Interesting.

It's impossible to add these to our playbook as what we have already is a great masterpiece used for 30+years in the nfl!!!! Someone said this week that he struggles throwing these passes, they're most likely going to be behind the WR

Well, I did mention offensive scheme and route running? Ask Troy Aikman. Didn't want to mention OL production. Quite a bit to digest in the passing game.
Example: See CJ Stroud in the last game....pass rush and 11-30, fortunately he is not facing heat like that every play, every game.
As for Mahomes......he takes risks and is a master for the most part, has a master HC to go along with him every game despite having more INTs than Dak. He's a game changer, no doubt.
However, the moment his OL got hurt prior to the SB against Tampa Bay, we saw what a KC offense could look like when he was under constant pressure.

Our roster alone, is not fit to contend for anything. What starting QB in the NFL (let's take away Mahomes in this) can elevate this current offensive roster into contention? Who? Let's give it a shot for board entertainment.
Who you got?

How is he elevating with stats that are worse than Dak and bigger windows?

And he has a run game.

I know right? Imagine the nerve of ONLY commenting on Dak...in a QB thread. It's crazy!
