Post your thoughts here. This isn't a we can't beat them thread. That is the default position and already stated ad infinitum. But it's any given Sunday so how do our Cowboys steal this one?

Keep 18 on the sidelines, something we did not do well with rivers last week

The key to this game is getting pressure on 18..if we pressure him consistently then we have a chance to compete. If we don't, We will get blown out.

Denver defense really isn't that good. But neither is our offense

1. Create a gameplan that has not been seen yet this season, add in some play-action, crossing routes, etc.
2. Play ball control--stay committed to the run.
3. Blitz, stunt, blitz and more stunts...keep that pressure high.
4. Leave it all out on the field.
5. Convert the third downs
6. Minimize the ill-timed penalties
7. Miles needs to sack it up and play.
8. Ware needs to contain better instead of bull-rushing or his side will get abused.
9. Selvie? not sure on his status but someone needs to fill that spot.
10. Trash talk to Peyton about his pizza making skills.

Ah, Wednesdays. :)

Play better pass defense, both at CB and with our LBs, and this will be a close game in Dallas.

"make peyton feel pressure, hit him often" aka the same strategy for all QBS

I agree. Manning will make mistakes when he is getting pressure on him he has before. Even if it is not sacks they need to keep pressure on him. I think secondary has to do better in terms of knocking WR off their routs of course within the 5 yard limit. Offensive as always it starts up front with opening running lanes and pass protection

First and foremost, PRESSURE MANNING. Dude hates pressure.
You need 2 to 3 seconds of strong coverage and a mean pass-rush.

Score Score Score, on offense. No wasted series.
Don't be scared of Denver.

The way you beat any team with a great QB. Pressure, Pressure and Pressure and then score, score, and score.

Dallas is actually a team that's geared toward beating the Broncos. Our offense just needs to be able to give our defense a break so they can play to their strengths (relentlessly getting after the QB) without being worn out by the 3rd quarter.

Hello McFly!!!!

I already answered this... Press and abuse the WRs off the LOS.

THAT is all.

On offense I think we need to have long sustained drives that result in points. We need to limit the amount of opportunities that Manning gets. On defense I think it's going to take pressure along with tight man to man coverage. Looking at Denver's offense I get the feeling that it is the type that will exploit a zone fairly easily. Plus, Manning is too smart to be tricked by a zone. We need to force him to throw it into tight windows and hopefully cause a mistake. The question is can we do either of those things?

Man press coverage, with constant pressure on Manning.

Oh wait, we play more zone now. /forfeit

Dallas plays man at times as well. I think staying in only one coverage is a mistake be it man or zone.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is don't give up any special teams TD's to that Holliday. That has really made it tough on teams that have played Denver. If we are going to get beat and give up scores make Denver work for it and don't give them punt returns or kickoff returns for TDs or long gains.

be extremely efficient with our possessions, score 6 not 3, keep manning on the sidelines, have the ball last and don't leave a second on the clock if we go up.
