Dallas plays man at times as well. I think staying in only one coverage is a mistake be it man or zone.
You are right. Mixing it up is best.

I really don't have much hope they will stop Peyton.
So their only hope is keep him on the sidelines with the running game & get a few turnovers.
Protect our quarterback.
Pressure their quarterback with 4 rushers - any more and he will kill us
Not sure that you stop him but you can get pressure to help force mistakes. I really do not care the yards he gets what I do care about is doing a better job in redzone defense and forcing turnovers. Offense needs to be able to run and pass the ball not just to control the clock but to put points on the board.
Post your thoughts here. This isn't a we can't beat them thread. That is the default position and already stated ad infinitum. But it's any given Sunday so how do our Cowboys steal this one?
We'll know right away how the game will go. They'll come out slinging it down the field & if we get behind early it's going to be a long day. I do not think we can play you score, we score & we'll take our our chances at the end of the game.
T.O.P. Defense actually playing defense for a full 4 qtrs..
Score points..
MOST IMPORTANT. T.O.P. Battle.
Well, four of our Forum ruffians (I half a list of names) git in their cars and block Manning's limo from getting to the stadium. Get the driver and Manning liquored up and provide them with some of the Cowboys cheerleaders to cheer them up. And, because Manning is a venerated personage, of course, provide him with a buffet -- hot and cold -- during the 3.5-hour game and otherwise make him comfortable. Who is the Broncos backup?
Anyone? Anyone?
There's 2 sides to that. Just cuz the other team has the TOP edge doesn't mean it's cuz your offense played poorly.
It could mean your defense (even rested) couldn't get off the field. Which was the case this past sunday in SD.
