1) get Stephen to go to EVERY hotel in the area (just in case Manning doesn't bunk with the team) and make sure that ALL room services are, shall we say, "special"
2) the team needs to realize that the broncos aren't as good as their very offensive first four game and Dallas isn't as bad as their two road games.
3) someone, anyone on the coaching staff has to put together a plan to hit manning over and over...if he is going to win, make him sore on Monday
4) start using the skill players more on offense - take some freakin chances already...nothing to lose, right? Air it out

And cover that little bitty return guy they have. They are scoring special team td's with him back there.

Denver has an assortment of weapons that make them very difficult to defend and Holliday is a dangerous returner who the Cowboys may see a lot of if they're forced to punt often.

Nobody has discussed coaching. I do not know but wondering where you think their HC ranks? I really don't know anything about him other than he was fired in Carolina (?) & they hired him. He definitely seems to be doing a good job in Denver.

1) Run the football effectively on early downs. The Broncos can be had on D.

AND ABSOLUTELY:

2) Red Zone Defense must be perfect ALL GAME to have ANY chance to win. The Broncos will score at least 18 pts. kicking field goals, because they will move the football.

I'm actually not that worried about the redzone D, we seem to tighten up down there for the most part, I think due to not having to defend the deep part of the field I think therein lies the advantage of the zone. I'm worried about the big play. We saw D Thomas take a screen 80 yards, we know what welker can do on a seam route and the seam was there for the taking against the chargers. The tampa 2 is supposed to prevent those big plays but peyton knows the scheme and they have the talent to beat it.

Fox is a solid head coach who led Carolina to the SB back in 2003 and accomplished that with Jake Delhomme a free agent QB. Once Carolina's QB situation deteriorated he fell out of favor like a lot of head coaches do when they don't have a solid QB. Denver signed him almost immediately after he was fired in Carolina. He was stuck with Tebow who was drafted by the previous head coach and to his credit he made the best of it for one season.

He designed an offense around Tebow during the season that confused a lot of defenses enabling Denver to win some games and sneak into the playoffs where they upset Pittsburgh. Obviously any coach who has Peyton Manning as their QB is going to look good but well before Manning arrived Fox had some success which made him attractive to the Broncos.

I never hear him mentioned as one of the top guys but he sure seems solid to me. I have to admit that I kind of wish we had him.

On the first play of the game, send MO on a blitz and tell him to drive the crown of his helmet into Peyton's knee. Then he could make his way to the bench and warm it up for the rest of the game. At least that way he could be useful and help Dallas finally win a game.

All jokes aside our offense will have to be more efficient, and our passing defense will have to show up. Even then we'll still likely lose, just we won't get blown out. It will be a tough game.

The key to this game is getting pressure on 18..if we pressure him consistently then we have a chance to compete. If we don't, We will get blown out.

Denver defense really isn't that good. But neither is our offense

Was listening toSiriusXMNFL radio today and heard that in Manning's 4 losses last year, he was sacked 3 times in each game, but an average of once in the 12 wins. The D must get pressure, and lots of it.

It's humorous to me how most of you armchair quarterbacks have a solution to beat a team that million dollar salaried professionals don't......

Belichek proved how to beat him. Thats why they made the rules to prevent that. And name it player safety.

Offense:
Stay uptempo. If you get in the red zone throw to 88!! We need to control the clock using a balance attack. If they have a weakness; exploit it as much as possible, even when they're expecting it.

Defense:
Give Manning different looks. Show blitz on pre snap and make Manning think more than he wants to.

Long drives and turnovers in the Cowboys favor.

They have to keep the ball away from the Denver offense and confuse the Denver defense.

Dictate the pace.

You have to find a way to break Peyton's rhythm. Whether it be through long stretches where he doesn't see the field or by forcing him to move out of pocket and have to create. The dude is a robot and very structured through the progression of a play. Read, read, read, bang throw. If you can disrupt his rhythm and take away his robot sequence of a play then you have a chance. Force him to have to move and create because I don't think he's good at that. It'll be hard because if you dial up blitzes to do it his release and understanding of where he wants to go in the structure of the play will beat it. Almost a chess match really.

On the other hand I almost am starting to think that teams who try to keep the ball away from him hurt themselves. If you have the talent/firepower offensively I think you should turn it into a track meet. I mean, you know dude is going to get his scores...let your offense rip, no huddle the entire game, something. You have an 80 yard 6 min drive, he does the same in 2 mins. Turn it into a track meet and see what happens.

Payton has played the Ravens, Giants, Raiders, and eagles. That is not exactly powerhouses that he has beat up on. As great as the NFL world thinks he is, he is not going undefeated this season.

Now, I am not one that thinks the Cowboys have a chance against the guy, but I am also not one that thinks he is going to just come down to Texas and sign his name next to his little sisters name in the visitor's locker room.

But, if Manning does beat the Cowboys, no biggie for me. It is a non-conference game.

People complain that Romo is getting to old to play this game. Well, Payton is a little older, and the season is long...

Oh I agree with you. Its a AFC game. As long as they handle up on the NFC i'm fine.

Play for points, not field position.

Agree. I'm reading posts in other threads where all the talk is about the D trying to stop Manning. You're not. Carter, Lee, Sims, the DBs are going to get beat and they're going to take turns getting beat and you know what, we can be mad about that later. The focus should be on generating fire power to match the scoring. This is not the week to be offensively conservative. Let it rip.

Actually, Denver's defense is really good, especially their secondary. And I don't want to hear this noise about their low pass defense ranking. All that proves is that "yards against" is an oversimplified, worthless stat to base a rating on.
