1. Go for it on fourth down every time you cross the 50. Field position means very little to Manning anyway, and our punter stinks at pinning teams back.

2. Strip the ball from the receivers. Need two fumbles and a pick.

3. Run the ball, be efficient, and eat clock.

4. Two stops and two field goals. Hold Denver to 30. That's the defensive goal.

5. Score 31.

Yea but the guy isn't undefeated in his career. He's beatable. We've beat him when he was undefeated before. People conceding the game are pathetic. Not saying that's you but i've been seeing a lot of that on here.

Payton has played the Ravens, Giants, Raiders, and eagles. That is not exactly powerhouses that he has beat up on. As great as the NFL world thinks he is, he is not going undefeated this season.

Now, I am not one that thinks the Cowboys have a chance against the guy, but I am also not one that thinks he is going to just come down to Texas and sign his name next to his little sisters name in the visitor's locker room.

But, if Manning does beat the Cowboys, no biggie for me. It is a non-conference game.

People complain that Romo is getting to old to play this game. Well, Payton is a little older, and the season is long...

The game plan to beat Denver is pretty simple. The problem is they have to execute the game plan perfectly.

On defense they need to do 2 things:

1) Pressure Manning w/o blitzing. It's imperative for the front 4 to get pressure on Manning to make him uncomfortable in the pocket and more importantly disrupting his timing. You cant blitz him cause Manning will find out who's blitzing and will abuse you.

2) Throw in press coverage to throw off timing. As easy as it is for Manning to destroy a blitzing D he can destroy a cover 2 zone D. Need to be able to disrupt the timing between Manning and his WRs. If/when we do press we can't continue to do it all game because Manning will adjust to it and beat it. We will need to switch it up and try to stay ahead of Manning.

On Offense they need to score. Eating clock is an added bonus, however, the most important thing to do is to score. Gotta put up points every possession. No sacks, no drops, no dumping it off on 3rd down. Gotta convert 3rd downs, gotta get TDs when you're in the redzone. Romo can't think of Peyton on the sidelines. Callahan can't get pre-occupied with ball control and allow it to effect your offense. Be yourself, do what you do best but make sure you do it flawlessly.

A good game plan will put you in position to win....but execution will beat the Broncos.

The Broncos will lose this year. Probably a few times. I just don't think it'll be this week. I don't think we're capable of putting that kind of game together.

We haven't played powerhouses either unless you consider the Chiefs that. Kind of goes both ways.

Neither team can control their schedule. You just go out & play whoever is next.

Peyton is older & the neck surgery is more serious than anything Tony has had done but he's a much better QB. It's not even close. I think Denver has much better receivers than we do. Tony is already behind in that respect.

I forgot about Eli signing that post. Dork. That was dumb.

Ball control, ball control, ball control.

Oh, and did I mention, ball control.

The Cowboys need to not only win the time of possession battle they need to absolutely DOMINATE the time of possession. The less time Peyton Manning has to be on the field, looking at that pass defense, the better.

True up...play the next game. I really think this is a loss for the Cowboys just because of this post of yours. With "Hammy Man" doing his thing, "10 million man" out for the season, "Mo Shoulder broke", "Jay Rat don't play this game" and some other things that I can come up with, this team better show up, or they are going to get embarrassed on National TV.

But, I guess my whole point is that the Cowboys are only going in to the 5th game of the season. The 5th game! So, it's going to be a long season, but I don't feel doom and gloom as of yet, just maybe a little despair.

In other words, get the freaking running game going and stop scoring field goals.

This last game the Cowboys stopped running the ball because, IMO, they thought the Chargers had a bad backfield, so they wanted to throw it? Stupid...

And, I think Denver can be run on...plus, the air is more dense in Texas.

I like your player descriptions. Especially Miles. If the shoe fits..

I definitely went off the deep end after the SD game. I was so sure they'd win that.

this defense isn't bad at all , the coaches just failed to adjust.. no matter how inept they may seem I doubt they're that stupid

The defense is on pace to give up 40 TD's and almost 5000 passing yards that qualifies it as a bad defense.

be extremely efficient with our possessions, score 6 not 3, keep manning on the sidelines, have the ball last and don't leave a second on the clock if we go up.

1) Run the football effectively on early downs. The Broncos can be had on D.

AND ABSOLUTELY:

2) Red Zone Defense must be perfect ALL GAME to have ANY chance to win. The Broncos will score at least 18 pts. kicking field goals, because they will move the football.

They are going to have to blitz. Not all of the time but bring different positions in at certain times. Try a corner blitz, then a linebacker, safety, whatever. They need to mix it up and not be predictable with the same blitzes.

The front four will need steady pressure all game long.

The logical answer on how to beat Denver is to keep Manning off the field by controlling the ball but I don't see that happening with Denver being #1 against the run. That's primarily due to them getting teams down forcing them to have to throw. The only way I could see the Cowboys winning this game is if Peyton has a bad day like he did vs the Cowboys in 2010 when he tossed 4 int's but in this game the Cowboys would probably have to return everyone of them for a score.

The way Peyton is playing right now I don't see him having a real off game especially considering Tony Dungy commented that Peyton knows the tampa 2 defense better than Kiffin. It's going to take a number of breaks that the Cowboys are able to capitalize on to have a shot in this game plus the Cowboys are going to have to unleash Romo and take some chances down the field. Romo will likely attempt 60+ passes in this game if the Cowboys have the ball long enough.

And cover that little bitty return guy they have. They are scoring special team td's with him back there.
