How to use Micah to avoid him tiring out?

And Parson’s isn’t playing over 90% of the defensive snaps. If he did his double team % would drop.
Your math skills most really suck.

According to Pro Football Focus (h/t Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk), Parsons played 87.8 percent of his snaps at defensive end in 2023.Mar 5, 2024

I'm tired of always seeing our supposedly elite players get "tired" need rest etc. etc. All other elite pass rushers play 75% or more of snaps. And he played 81% of snaps.

I get the impression, that pass-rushing's his choice. He wants the stats and adulation, doesnt want to be covering.
Yeah well he also wants a contract and a raise. He wants to be the coach and the player too, and possibly the center of attention.
Hopefully our new DC will sort through that mess and straighten it out. Can't be the pass rusher and the coach both.

C'mon GM Jethro makes the decisions.

Have a 600-lb. gorilla take his place in the lineup?! Just a wild guess . . .

You're slacking, I thought you would say get better DT help to make his life easier. I agree, but does he want that, I hope the coaches want this (this new regime) tell him THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO DO. It's not always about the sacks and getting the highest money you can get, which is what he wants
That is so true.

Micah loves the fame from getting sacks. However, his inability to set the edge will continue to derail us.

Wanna know what's funny? Micah is great against the run at LB. I mean, he's beastly. Yeah, he got 14 sacks, I get it, but what about the other thousand plays?

Pressures are more important but yup that’s DQ being a players coach lol
They are, but pressures are irrelevant if you can't stop the run. And if you are trading off some pressure for setting the edge, you will lose.

yup the ones where he isn't always doubled, and where he's shooting straight up the field to get a sack on run plays

Your reading skills must suck, I never said anything about snaps at defensive end, I mentioned % of snaps. Parsons played 80% Crosby played 95% of the snaps, Had Parsons played 95% of the defensive snaps his double team % would likely drop because he would be on the field for more run plays. In run downs he’s more likely to play LB and not get doubled. So again my point was Crosby plays more snaps, more snaps in the tranches and doesn’t get worn down. Parsons isn’t out of position he”s not conditioned well enough.

Crosby is not getting double teamed.

The mission is to compile regular season sacks. That is all that matters. You think baby and his agent will stand by and let you rest him against bad O lines so that he is fresh for Trent Williams? No sir you have it backwards. Micah is gonna feast when he can. This is the way.

He's our top pass rusher, best defender if you want to say that. We've seen in the last few years how he's been burned out, with that said, how can avoid burnout to make him the best he's ever been. I saw him say in a quote, he's hasn't even reached his prime yet. We shall see when that happens. Please give your thoughts on this
Move him to LB. Keep him fresh.

Going up against tackles is going to destroy him.

The guy was one of the best LBs in college, and also had a 90+ grade in run defense at LB.

Yet we are running him into brick walls for 17 games.

Makes total sense.

Best solution would be as a LB in a 3-4. Will forever be at a disadvantage as a DE in a 4-3.

Still gets plenty of pass rush, easier to shake it up, and not having to go against 300+ lb linemen every snap.
