The line got beat like a drum against Green Bay but Dak covered their arses. In fact he has covered their butts in multiple games. In games where he has not been able to do so the offense has looked like garbage. The notion that Dak needs all day to throw is regurgitated nonsense. Even with all the times he runs away from jailbreak pressure he is still in the upper end of getting the ball out quickly.

Much more mobile, accurate and instinctive QBs eh?

Dak has the second lowest bad throw percentage in the league at 10.6%. That's second only to Allen who sits at 10.5. Dak has been "hit" 27 times which is tied for 6th most in the NFL and he has gotten "hurried" 27 times tied for 3rd most. He has been "pressured" 69 times tied for 9th. Those numbers do not scream "the line is playing well" to me. Nor do my eyes tell me the line is playing well when I watch the games.

Even with the alleged poor performances in the last two games Dak remains #1 in the league against pressure. Yet people keep repeating that "Dak is not good when pressured" lie. The numbers say he's better than every other QB playing right now. But let's ignore that and continue with the lie. I always come back to the simple truth that NO QB is good if you can get ENOUGH pressure on him. We have seen the best of all times, Montana, Staubach, Elway, Brady, Manning, Mahomes.. you name the QB and if the defensive line was able to dominate his offensive line on a given day he will generally look like crap. Not always.. but generally. That's what makes the narrative that Dak is supposed to be Superman no matter how bad the line plays so ridiculous. No other QB has been able to consistently overcome bad line play... but we expect Dak Prescott to. Why?

This may have been true years and years ago but IMHO those days are long since over. There are no rivalries. There is no price to be paid. The Cowboys are just one of 32 teams no different or special than any other in the eyes of players.

The numbers don't say that and the eye in the sky doesn't lie. All pressure is not the same. Edge pressure is not the same as pressure up the middle...which almost no mortal QB is immune to.

Bruh, calm down and take a deep breath. In year 9, you are forced to point to a game where Dak TIED the opposing team as a way to say he "covered" for the lack of a line.

Dak has gotten better under pressure...whoopty-do. It's only year 9 and he's only the highest paid QB for the last 2 years...no one even approaching the stupidity of Jerry to sign a guy whose best effort this year was a "tie".

You know...I don't like Jaylon Hurts as my type of QB. Too timid and not enough accuracy to throw the ball down the middle consistently. But...he WINS GAMES. And makes plays when it counts. Dak will have some decent stats, but when it comes down to the business of winning, he's always too little too late. And by this stage in his career, he should have figured out where the ball goes in case of an emergency and only occasionally get caught slipping.

The fact is the man tore his hamstring off the bone on a scramble run. He's not as mobile as younger, better, tougher, more accurate WINNERS that Dak has to face. Dak is a better thrower of the ball than I ever thought he could evolve into...but much like Romo...his body has already betrayed him.

So again...take a deep breath. It'll all be over soon.

Dak's been playing great. Last 2 weeks the offense has been stifled - that's not Dak's fault. He can't do it all - be realistic. No QB in the league would do any better with the surrounding cast. Also don't forget a few bone-headed play calls (especially the non-kicks) by the HC. The far majority of this team's woes are being pooped out by the Defense. I have never, in all my years, seen such poor (total lack of) tackling, bad pursuit angles and guys standing around scratching their butts like we have this year. I'm sick of seeing guys celebrate a sack or stop for a loss when they are 2 TD's or more behind. Or the stupid endzone celebrations when they are having their butts handed to them on the scoreboard.

Brian Schottenheimer has never been able to hold an OC job for long, and has never received serious head coaching consideration outside of Dallas. He was a comfort hire.

He was hired because Jerry thought he could play games with McCarthy and never expected him to walk.

I said "even Lamar". Despite his record, his team has belief in him in that he has won big games in the regular season and he has been league MVP twice. Dak...not so much.
