It's already a wash unless they bring in some starting FA types for this defense and OL. Plus theyd have to have a beyond great draft.

Naw its not a wash. Players are going to get better. This team is going to get better just by being a year older. Good enough to win a title? Not saying that. But its not a wash. Secondary will be better....linebackers will be better...defensive line will be better.....

With the addition of Thompson and Hurns we don't have to draft a WR. If one of the top three WRs falls to us then they should consider drafting one and cutting Dez. I'd prefer a LB or OL.

What's the fascination you guys have with cutting Dez? Is it his salary?

Dallas will need be twice as good last year just to make it to 8-8 this year. Hopefully they all get way better.

It's him and salary but I'm not on any bandwagon to see him gone.

I don't think so.

Now they've put themselves in a hole to where they are going to have to be relatively healthy which is a big question mark. You can never expect to be healthy. We've been fortunate to not really have too many season ending injuries. But if they are healthy they are right there with anyone else in the NFC.

Wouldn't go that far but I think allas will be decent but not a top nfc team. We will see what this team is made of this year. The schedule is no joke. Not a cake walk like 16 and should be way tougher than last year.

That's an easy fix.......someone just needs to beat him out of his position which hasn't happened yet......that should happen in training camp and pre season

We aren't in denial that he sucks. Its easy when you figure that out. Don't worry, you will eventually arrive at that conclusion as well.

If the Cowboys do that they might as well call this season a wash and waste another year of Dak and Zeke.

I think the signing of Hurns means that the cowboys won't go WR high in the draft and T Will is the only WR on the bubble

I don't think cutting or trading Dez is or should be an option if we want to compete this year

I see dez being a bubble guy but less likely than TWill or Beasley. I think a team would know approaxh dallas about beasley and I think Dallas will approach teams about TWill. I think brown and whoever they keep among udfa or draft pick will compete with lenoir. I do not seeing them drafting a guy high unless its guy no one expected to be there.

Thompson is a replacement for Butler who was a 4'th option in the passing game. Don't see Thompson being anything more than that. Hurns? I do think his signing takes the NEED away to draft a WR high, and even thought the rhetoric is BPA, drafting still has a lot to do with needs at any given position. That's fine because the difference in the top 10 WR's in this draft is small. In other words we can get another in the 3rd round, possibly even the 4'th There won't be a big run on WR's early. Many teams have filled that need through FA including the Cowboys.

I see Hurns as more of a T Will type than a Beasely type. Beasely is quick, Hurns is not. Hurns is physical, Bease is not. Hurns is more like T Will, hope he has better hands. If there is a cut or a trade with a WR on our roster, I see it being T Will not Beasely. What do I know though. Just my opinion

I see an avenue for a small trade back and possible move for DJ Moore or Hernandez. We might be able to trade up and get two picks in the second round for LB's. With 3 safeties on the roster that the FO and coaching staff likes,
I see a late round pick to find a 4h safety. If you look at and evaluate Hurns, he almost a perfect clone of Dez. He's build almost the same but, he runs better routes. Thompson can run fast enough to take the top off the defense.

Yep way to much salary for too little production. No use paying an aging WR who is going downhill fast that kind of money.

Looking for him to take time away from T-Will maybe use the slot more. And should help open Beez up more in the short game.

Well, Nick Eatman from dc.com said the fans never been to the Star to see the mural of Jason Witten at the practice facility so releasing him would never happen and plus he deserves to be on the team because he made the pro bowl last year.
Those guys over there are truly unbelievable .
