I'm just happy the Cowboys are applying pressure and making him possibly return before he's ready.
EVERY players career is one good hit from ending. Quite a few have ended on plays that did not seem that bad.One good hit, that’s all it would take
He's not an excellent running quarterback by any stretch of the imagination. He's good at exploiting defenses when they over pursue. My Vick when he was young was excellent. Kap was excellent. There's a couple in the league currently that are pretty good, Hurts isn't 1. If Hurts wasn't an excellent passer this year the Eagles would have 8 or 9 wins. The Chicago QB was a good running quarterback because he couldn't throw very well. There's a reason QB's are excellent running quarterbacks because most of them can't throw the ball. Hurts is more similar to Russell Wilson and how he plays he's just taller with a stronger arm. Both are opportunist when it comes to running.Hurts is an excellent running QB. But ALL running QBs are a ticking time bomb for an injury. The history of this league has shown if you want your QB running the ball more than a few times a game, be prepared to use your backup.
Welcome to the running RPO game for a QB in this league.Welcome to the game of football Mr. Hurts.
The Eagles are starting to speak up on Lane Johnson. He's had a hernia that has taken him out of games a few times this year, but apparently it tore open slightly more last week. He probably won't play the rest of the regular season, and give it a go again in the playoffs. It's a hernia that needs surgery. Players that don't have surgery right away wear a belt and endure the pain until the season is over then get surgery.Me tears flow heavy in this thread.
Its a torn tendon in his abdomen, so expecting his initial prognosis of two weeks and back sounds a bit optimistic. The Eagles are starting to speak up on Lane Johnson. After I posted something a few days ago they are now at least admitting it is a hernia.
I watch a lot of Tua with the dolphins. The guy holds the ball too long. He's getting killed behind the dolphins O line this year. I don't know much about his college career. He's obviously decent, but if he keeps getting hit his NFL career will be over before it's really startsHe's more of a Bama alumn. He actually won there and played there the longest. Transferred out once he knew Tua was taking over. I believe he actually came in and filled in for Tua in an SEC title game when he got hurt.
That's just another way of saying he's got a hernia. I've been talking about it since the first Dallas game when he went out with a strained abdomen. It's not strained. Its a torn tendon in his abdomen, so expecting his initial prognosis of two weeks and back sounds a bit optimistic.
Wasn't aware of the origination of the injury thought it was just recent, so thanks for the info..

Rg3 was a prime example.Yep. Even a huge QB like Cam, who is built like a Mack truck, couldn’t succumb to injuries and ruin his career early.
Where is @Cowpolk, do we have a boo hoo emoji.I've had shoulder joint injury in college, and it is one of the most painful injuries I've experienced playing football. I've actually finished playing a game with a blown knee, but I couldn't even practice when I had the shoulder injury. I couldn't raise my arm pass parallel without feeling tremendous amount of pain.
I doubt Hurts will be able to play without getting shot up and from what I understand, that can also cause complications. If he plays, he isn't going to be able to play at the level he was playing before the injury.
Hurts is an RG3 on steroids with an upgraded brain, but I get the comparison and the reason.Rg3 was a prime example.
He would not slide and would get blasted.
You just knew it was a matter of time.
I farted in an elevator that The Grinch was in he gave me stolen gifts as a peace treaty that stated I was not to do that again. I got him againWhere is @Cowpolk, do we have a boo hoo emoji.
I want to be the Grinch that stole Christmas for those disgusting green fools.
Grinch's deserve elevator smells, much more than little people.I farted in an elevator that The Grinch was in he gave me stolen gifts as a peace treaty that stated I was not to do that again. I got him again
Don't know why these RPO QBs can't get down at the end of their run?Hurts is an RG3 on steroids with an upgraded brain, but I get the comparison and the reason.
RPO is a great advantage offensively if your QB can survive the season healthy, and Rush has been exceptional up to this point, let's see how this works out when all is said and done.
Hope that plagues Hurts.
Go Saints.
