I bashed Romo
Now I'm bashing Dak
Romo was never this bad.
For the record I praised Dak for the first 1.5 years u til the flaws began to show.
There
I feel better now:thumbup:
Romo got better as got more experience. Dak is getting worse. He should be reading the defense better and quicker with more experience, but thats not happening. Its a clear indication he will not improve and time to move on. He isn't using his best asset, which was being a running threat. I'm not sure if he is trying to prove he can be a pocket passer, but after 7 years he is not improving. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Jerry is insane. Most fans know what we are gonna get with Dak. Its time to move on to someone else. Try something different, give the fans some hope. Cooper Rush, draft a new QB, sign a FA,....doesn't matter. Just someone different. I think thats why the fans are so frustrated. We keep getting the same crap from Dak and Jerry.

Read some of his scouting reports you find accuracy and reading the field as problems.
There's a reason he wasn't a higher pick.

I don’t want to be benched for breaking the great CZ rule of “bumping”, so I will generalize instead.

I spent some time going through very old threads and discussions from the 2015-2016 seasons last night. I know a couple of you are man enough to admit it, but most of you sadly are not. I have direct quotes from some of you who were bashing Romo for the same things Dak is doing, but you will bend over backwards to defend him. At the same time some of y’all who would never admit Tony had serious issues will Kill Dak for the same exact mistakes!!!

Y’all are so hypocritical it’s laughable. You know who you are and it’s taking will power for me not to expose you. Grow the Hell Up!!!! You will never be a rational fan if you can’t be balanced in your judgements.

Is Dak as good as Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Rodgers, or Burrow? NO. But he is somewhere in the next group of 5 or 6. Does Dak make huge mistakes that cost us games and have lead to failures in making it deep into the playoffs? Absolutely, but again he’s not Patrick, Josh, or Joe, and I don’t there’s nobody better we can get right now.

Be real and honest, and stop showing people like me who will dig into the consistency of your arguments that you really don’t know what you’re talking about!

I am a Tony Romo fan. If Tony had the players Dallas currently has Dallas would have won big. Romo > Dak and its not even close.

Glad you made this point because I completely agree. Its sad we are not allowed to bump those up because people might think twice about lying as much as they do on here. Both Dak and Romo fans can be very hypocritical.

But...............................you had me until you said "Dak has made huge mistakes that have cost us games that lead to failures in deep playoff runs". What exactly are you talking about?

Dak was a bad 50% and had a QBR of 32.4 in last years playoff game. That’s the kind of thing I’m talking about. I like being in the middle and try to be fair. This was one of those times where we have to say if Dak would’ve been better we could’ve been in the championship game.

Unless you can name someone as good or better than you also have to say you’d be happy with not making the playoffs for a few years during development.

There are a lot of bus driver QBs available that can take this team to the playoffs, including Dak but have no hope of winning a SB. I want the team to look for a top 5 QB that can carry a team. I'd also be OK with a down year or two in developing a top 5 QB. I just want hope and feel the possibility of being a SB team. Dak gives no hope. Fans know how the season is going to end.

You do understand that by the time that happened, most of the players you have on the team right now would be gone right?

Then there were many of us who LOVED both AT ONE TIME.

After Romo's prime was wasted, most of us knew he couldn't take us to the promised land.

After seeing Dak now for his career, most (I think) realize he cannot either.

Sooner we get someone who could.... the better off we will be!
Of course, but those types are rare. In my lifetime, how many of those kind have the Cowboys had? 2- Aikman and Staubach. I was born in 71, so I barely remember Staubach. Danny White was my QB as a kid. And the Cowboys had to hit rock bottom and be the worst team in the league to be able to draft Aikman.

What a silly, divisive thread. What purpose does this serve other than to promote your own obvious agenda?

Interesting. They both gave him his due over it.
That's because they have Rings (Super Bowls) and Things (Roger retired as the NFL all time leading passer, Aikman retired as the Cowboys all time leading passer).

Dak and Romo are still wanting and keep losing my precious ring...

Neither is or was a franchise QB. That being said, Romo was a lot better QB than Dak.

I am a fan of both QB's and defended them both. In my unbiased opinion they are both very very similar in quality of QB, however both are very very different.

Romo was a better pure passer and better pocket awareness. Dak is a better leader, game manager, and clutch QB. Dak is more of a dual threat that Romo was.

If you look at wins and stats they are near identical.

So anyone that says one is better or way better than the other is biased.

If I had to pick one QB over the other it would be difficult.

If my team had a good Oline I would pick Dak

If my team has a suspect Oline I would take Romo

Neither one had the coaching, defense, or players around them in any one year to realistically win it all.
Romo was better in those three advantages you gave Dak.

I think Dak and Romo both have rings if they had those Cowboy teams….
