Man....every now and then I put on Romo highlights. For an NFL walk on....the guy was amazing.

Yep...there was a few times he broke my heart. But way more times he either pulled it out.

or singlehandedly made it so close. THOSE are the only games some people remember. I'd go ahead and post it....but...romo haters never watch it anyway so why bother? They would have to face and admit the error of their ways.

A lot of Romos errors where him trying to do too much. The FO set him up for failure a big chunk of his career. It's no coincidence he was at his best in 2014 with Demarco pounding the rock.

Don't get me wrong he blew it on his own multiple times as well.

Yep.

For better or worse...he was not afraid to accept and take the heat. I think he did pretty well given the support the team gave him. You know...super stars like Patrick Crayton and Sam Hurd.

No line, no run game, no defense. He always dealt with some combination there of. That was the majority of his career.

I will also point out the ball was heavily greased on that extra point vs the Hawks. So much so they changed the rule after screwing Romo. AND Dez caught it.

There is a strong possibility that Dak ends up with a playoff record much like Romo's and no rings

I don’t want to be benched for breaking the great CZ rule of “bumping”, so I will generalize instead.

I spent some time going through very old threads and discussions from the 2015-2016 seasons last night. I know a couple of you are man enough to admit it, but most of you sadly are not. I have direct quotes from some of you who were bashing Romo for the same things Dak is doing, but you will bend over backwards to defend him. At the same time some of y’all who would never admit Tony had serious issues will Kill Dak for the same exact mistakes!!!

Y’all are so hypocritical it’s laughable. You know who you are and it’s taking will power for me not to expose you. Grow the Hell Up!!!! You will never be a rational fan if you can’t be balanced in your judgements.

Is Dak as good as Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Rodgers, or Burrow? NO. But he is somewhere in the next group of 5 or 6. Does Dak make huge mistakes that cost us games and have lead to failures in making it deep into the playoffs? Absolutely, but again he’s not Patrick, Josh, or Joe, and I don’t there’s nobody better we can get right now.

Be real and honest, and stop showing people like me who will dig into the consistency of your arguments that you really don’t know what you’re talking about!

Glad you made this point because I completely agree. Its sad we are not allowed to bump those up because people might think twice about lying as much as they do on here. Both Dak and Romo fans can be very hypocritical.

But...............................you had me until you said "Dak has made huge mistakes that have cost us games that lead to failures in deep playoff runs". What exactly are you talking about?

Romo > Dak (times infinity) ,,,, but in both cases the Jones' have left their QBs high and dry without quality defenses,,, and in Romo's case no quality OL until the very end.

I am a fan of both QB's and defended them both. In my unbiased opinion they are both very very similar in quality of QB, however both are very very different.

Romo was a better pure passer and better pocket awareness. Dak is a better leader, game manager, and clutch QB. Dak is more of a dual threat that Romo was.

If you look at wins and stats they are near identical.

So anyone that says one is better or way better than the other is biased.

If I had to pick one QB over the other it would be difficult.

If my team had a good Oline I would pick Dak

If my team has a suspect Oline I would take Romo

Neither one had the coaching, defense, or players around them in any one year to realistically win it all.

I loved Danny and I stayed in his corner until the end. Cowboy fans had a higher bar back then though.
Yep and that's what irks me today about the Arlington Jonesboys pretending to be Dallas Cowboys, the team and fans.

You lower the bar, you will eventually grovel on the ground.

Neither had a great coach or OC which is basically the only comparison.
Nailed it......no one to work with maturation of the QB......just sling it all over the place and get some reward plays, and then the untimely risk plays that cost games.

Romo had Bill Parcells team into Playoffs on a rookie contract. We were a FG fumble away Romo being the next Phil Simms or Hostetler.

In hindsight, Wade Philip's proved to be a Superbowl winning coach albeit at Coordinator.

Garrett should have been fired after 4-12 2015 Season.

Prescott is in Superbowl Window with McCarthy.

Call them out, people need to be called out. Straight bidness!!!

Well all you have to do is see who posts more after losses than wins. I definitely know who the low IQ, mouth breathing, Dak hatin cowards are.

Again, those weak few hide after we win and don't post until the following Friday.... but post everyday, all day after we lose.

Just pay close attention, you'll see who those cowards are.

I remember a lot of Romo haters, same as dak has haters now, I think that is the way it will always be .
Some people dont like mahomes, and think he is overrated.

As for dak and romo, I think Romo was better than dak when he was in his first 7 years.
But both did poorly in playoffs .

As I keep saying, part or a BIG part of the problem with dallas has always been the coaching, and jerry as owner.

The qb's , be it tony, dak or rush, can look good or bad depending on the coaching and team building and culture.

With our culture, owner/meddler, and puppet coaches, no qb is going to excel here.

My main problem with dak, is he is just boring to watch, and really inconsistent, and a bit of a diva.
Tony was way more fun to watch, loved the spin move!

What we like or want doesnt matter, jerry doesnt care about us, lol, he runs the team for himself, and if we dont like it tough!
And jerry likes him some dak, so get ready for the extension which will come.

Why do you people care so much about what someone else said on a computer screen? Someone earlier was concerned about the media being hypocrites and so on. It's not that serious, y'all.

I read your post on my PC and found I did not care one iota. So I wasn't going to respond.

But later I looked in on The Zone on my cell and opened this thread and found, I do care more on a smaller screen. So here I am, worried you might not like me anymore.
