I would do it in a hot second. Let Romo choke somewhere else. I doubt St Louis would do this. They passed up RG3 because of Bradford.

So you'd rather have a QB who is rarely great over one who is usually great? Some people here... :laugh2:

Tony Romo remains the litmus test for gauging football knowledge.

Why do people get so worked up over a thread? the guy laid out the reasoning, offered his opinion, seems more like an attempt to spark up a interesting cowboys discussion rather than trying to get attention.
My opinion, I'd have to see more of Bradfords wortk,, but while we're fantasizing I'd give romo and a 1st rd pick for Cam Newton. Again, that's my opinion so don't get ur panties in a bunch. I think cam would make us a serious force to be reckoned with.

Did you know Bradford has never had a game with a passer rating above 119 (really it's something like 117.x)? 0 out of 42.

Romo did that 8 times his first 42 games and 8 times in his most recent 42. Or more than once every 5 games.

From my limited research, the average NFL team's QB that throws for a passer rating of 120+ in a game win ~90% of the time.

That would put Romo's worth at +3 wins/season on the Rams or Bradford -3 wins/season on the Cowboys if you want to try to project.

But I have been told by the resident GMs here that Romo is the reason we lose all of our games and a rookie would take us on a deep playoff run. Seattle is always used as the example.

Qb rating, passing yards, completion percentage, Etc...are padded stats Romo accumulates in garbage time and don't count.

Or so I have been told.

absolute not...

you can keep your 8 years...

8 years of garbage isnt worth anything

if you arent keeping romo then go find a new qb

Romo has never thrown for 5000 yds. All you Romo lovers always talk numbers, so by numbers, Bradford is better than Romo, right?

I wouldn't call Bradford garbage.. We have a much better offense then St Louis. Put him on this team and he is a 88-90 QB rating guy.

With our line? I don't think so.

 Hopefully the other posters wanting Stafford made the same mistake.

Bradford is a solid QB but aside from Steven Jackson and a season of Amendola, the guy really hasn't had much of a supporting cast. What I do like about Bradford is that he takes care of the ball, he doesn't take as many chances which is good and bad. With the receiving talent we have, I think he could do very well as he seems to find the open receiver rather than trying to force the ball into high risk/high reward situations. Now this trade scenario would mos likely never happen as both teams would certainly want to go forward with their respective guy, but I personally, would make the trade.

He turns the ball over a ton in relation to his attempts. If he plays it safe (if that's the true) and still throws that many INTs, it's pretty telling.

Better question is... Would you trade Romo straight up for next years #1 pick in the draft right now...
