From everything I have read about Young and his situation I have come to the conclusion that he is probably Bi-polar. I have had experience with some Bi-polar individuals and they exibit exactly the kind of behavior that we have been hearing about with regards to Young. I hate to say it but I just don't see this NFL thing working out for Vince.

BTW that is the same affliction/condition that both Demetrius Underwood and Alonzo Spellman suffered from and you see how well they worked out in the NFL. Typical of the condition they would be spectatular at times and absolutely suck at other times and would go off the deep end whenever they got off their meds.

Young will never be cut. he is a hell of a player and a winner...
he will bounce back and the Titans know it....

it takes time to develop into an NFL QB. it doesnt happen over night although lots of fans and press think it should for some while others get a pass...
I dont get this double standard

He's gone. Titans can't count on this kid. Fisher did his best with the pic, he didn't agree on, BTW. From what I saw in the coaches on the sideline.........looked to me like they we're pleading. I'm curious as to the outcome of his "MRI".

I am shocked. I would love Young as a backup. With our O-line and weapons, it would be a really good match. I'd probably trade a second rounder for him.

I generally do not like prototypical 'mobile' quarterbacks. I am not a Vick, McNabb-sorta, or Cunningham types of players. (I don't really enjoy watching super-accurate drop-throw quickly robot types either Brady, Bledsoe, and god-love him, Troy either) I love the tweeners like Romo, Staubach and Montana. Not track stars but mobile enough with a gamblers instinct. I agree that Vince could easily be classed with the Vick-type. But, I just see him as possesing the arm and the instincts to fit in our Romo driven system and become a different type of NFL quarterback than he looks in Tennesee.

Do I think there is a chance in hell we would be able to get him? No way.

Which back up QB out there is an outstanding QB? Neither Johnson or Bollinger are outstanding QBs. Young just may not be a good QB, but if you are basing it on being "outstanding" then a majority of guys don't qualify. Young is not getting cut, so it doesn't matter.

Forget "outstanding", I would like my backup QB to be "average".

Unfortunately, Vince Young is a "below average" QB. I think he had a QB rating of like 45 before he got hurt last Sunday. Of the playoff teams last year, Vince Young had the worst TD/INT Ratio of all the QBs.

Now he has decided that he doesnt want to play anymore (at least that is the impression you get from his mom's statement she released).

So you have a below average QB that doesnt want to play anymore...........why again would we want him to be a backup?

What double standard? This is year 3 and Vince actually looks WORSE than he did his rookie year.

If you draft a QB in the top 3 of the draft and he still cannot read a defense 3 freaking years later, you have a problem.

It really doesnt matter anyways, looks like he snapped under the pressure and is now a head case.
