Gates helps open up running lanes for LT by stretching the field, and being very good at it

I'm sure this is true. However, LT got his yards before Gates was ever on the Chargers roster. Not saying Gates doesn't help, just saying LT is the man. When teams come to play San Diego, Gates is not the man that keeps DCs up at night. LT is, IMO, the best player in the NFL right now. He's the man.
