I am really trying to understand our QB

i’m just curious, how old are you? you’ve posted like an edgy teen for like 8 years now

The Cowboys usually had a team that could survive a bad game from Aikman. And sometimes they didn't.

Remember the Emmitt Smith 4th-and-1 game in Philly that Dallas lost in 1995? Troy was 11/28 for 110 yards in that game; including 6/23 in the second half. Went on to win the Super Bowl.

Even the best QBs can have bad days. Seems ridiculous to hold Dak to a standard that not even Hall of Famers could uphold.
It's easier to do after the qb actually wins something. All Dak's given us in 11 years is 2 WC playoff wins and a few nfc east titles that nobody remembers. He's a streaky qb that looks great one minute and folds under pressure the next. Don't get me wrong. Jerry is the main reason this team continues to struggle but Dak isn't the answer either. So we'll just struggle on and wait till he breaks down like Romo.

You said two things which can't be reconciled: "Get ya money Dak!" and "Jerry shouldn't pay him that much money". Unless you are stupid or crazy - I don't believe that - you are trying to be slick and have it both ways to make this very post.

Nah, you rode with Dak to get paid for a contract cycle that repeatedly exploits your team. Don't cry or whine or pretend you don't pocket watch. You do.
I verbatim just said I wanted Dak to get his money that’s why I don’t get why you keep bringing this up lol. Last time I’m gonna address it because you either being dense or trolling or hell both.

dang blueblood. That hurts my eyes.
Well I had to do that. His account is a year older than mines, but I don't know if he was on a Long Hiatus like I was for some years. But basically, he is acting like the people who are no pro dak haven't ever made an argument about their positions. That they just have DDS and that there is no argument or logic behind their "hate" for Dak.

So I just have to rehash some of which has been argued by me and others throughout the years since at least 2018. Back then I was far more willing to give him a chance despite concerns. Now year 11, and other have pointed out there have been only a few quarterbacks who won a super bowl after year 11, and this guy is its the Defense! why you got complaints about Dak even though he is most of the Salary Cap! So when is the Defense getting fixed when all the money goes to Dak? Year 15, the super bowl?

:) And you been around here for a long time too and are a true Cowboys Fan. I know you used to like to visit some of the other teams sites to get a non bias opinion about the Cowboys from someone elses perspective. I know you gave Dak his shot. But for some of us, it is year 11 and can see things won't get better by year 15.

2 Years ago, my heart sunked into my gut after the parson deal, and I was like well we got two #1 picks it might be better to rebuild. And then. some of these guys go, we'll if we don't have Dak and stay mediocre, we might have to go back through the Campo years. Me, I'm like why prolong that and stay mediocre until Dak's year 15 is over and then go back through the Campo years.

It's like they think as long as we have Dak, despite all the holes this team has, we have some chance of winning a super bowl before he retires.

Yea some people might not remember but I used to Be a Dak fan. I gave him a fair chance. It's just after so many years you have to realize he just doesn't have it. I wish I was wrong . Ever since Dak got his new contract, this team has been struggling. What difference does it make if Dak's a Top 10 qb or not? This team is still bad.

You'd be worried also knowing that you'll have to put up 30 point's or more to win before the game even begins:facepalm: Dak is about the only QB in the whole NFL having to deal with this . Not just every game but every season,,,That kind of pressure is crazy. I have only respect for Dak when it comes to this .... Many other guys would had cracked under this pressure by now.......SAD.....Sad in deed...Mahomes-Allen-Jackson doesn't have this pressure.
I'll bring it up again......"The offense has to be flawless and put up 30+"......not new. I'd recommend people look at the protection calls for blitz......no offense to Javonte W and crew, but we haven't seen good pass protection backs since Zeke, and before that Emmitt. Against TB, Schotty the play-caller was unprepared or over his head.

It is not Dak
It was not Romo
It was not Bledsoe
It was not Carter
And so on.

One thing in common...jerry
One missing ingredient a great coach like Johnson ( the refactoring GM)

But go ahead, keep complaining g about Dak. You have made it very obvious that's all you want to do....DDS
Thank you for partially proving my point, we have not invested draft capital in the most important position on the team since Troy Aikman who happened to win three super bowls.

Dak 4th round pick
Romo undrafted FA
Bledsoe end of his career cast off
Carter a 2nd round disaster
You forgot Drew Henson, Ryan Leaf, Chad Hutchinson, Randal Cunningham and more.

We do agree that Jerry Jones is an incompetent GM but that doesn't make Dak a great QB.

It's called football, people get hurt, passes get dropped, you find a way to win the game. As a leader you rally your team around you not throw stadium employees under the bus for saying what we all think.
sounds good.

We have not invested for sure, but not sure if thats the only thing that ails the cowboys.
Troy Aikman was consensus #1 pick.
He also had great coaching staff around him.

Do you think Aikman would have achieved anything with ******** and parker? I seriously doubt it.

We have not invested anything in our coaching staff, with the likes of Gaily, Garrett, Campo, wade, and now ******** and company

Look at what Ben Johnson was able to do in Chicago. Or Campbell in Detroit. Or vrabel in New england..

Good coaching can overcome a lot.

Jerry wants total control of the team with puppet coaches.

Until we fix the culture, even mahomes would fall short here

The bad part about Dak last night was that an undrafted rookie QB made more plays than he did to win the game. Dak is an 11yr vet that should have shown little man up.

Yes the defense failed, but the opportunities we did get, we had to punt after dak had one of many bad throws.

I cant believe he is an 11yr vet, and I watched Dak have such a worried or scared look on his face at times during the game, while the "one read and run" kid had the ******* smile on his face all night.

We sucked as a team last night, but this one is on dak in the grand scheme of things. A close game like this, at the end of the day, the ball is still in your hand, leaving your hand, based on the decision you make, that pings in your brain.

Tampa was almost just as bad, but atleast their QB (who looks like he was just called out of a high school 5th period class room to play QB for the bucs) out played dak.

I am really sick of dallas constant QB stupidity. The 20+ years between Dak and Romo, i dont know who was worse.

I have faith that our next 10+ year 4th or 5th round QB is sitting somewhere in a small college, will once again provide false hopieum and divide the fan base of supporters and non supporters.

I dont know if I have another 10+ years of mental for that. And you all know that is what's coming after dak leave, it never stops.
Reluctantly agree. I kept thinking, \"All Dak needs is protection." But Kurt Warner slaughter the oppo without any protection. Bill Belichek and Tom Brady figured out that he was an immobile statue and won a slew of Super Bowls with him basically being a statue but getting rid of the ball in 2.6 seconds. In other words, you can do it without protection. And Romo at times had an awesome OL and had two great RBs (Murray and Elliott). Just so sick of this.

There is clearly some flaw in Dak that will never let him get over the hump. Too bad, because at times he's Joe Montana, and other times he's Bobby Douglass.

uh, Romo never played with Zeke and Murray was only here for a short time. RB has not been a huge strength for a long time. Only the one season with murray and like three with Zeke. The Barbarian burned out fast as well.
and Bobby Douglas was ten times the runner Dak ever was; but then Dak is ten times the Passer Douglas ever was
