Zeke is available because he’s not what he was and he’s still looking for good money. Someone will sign him by training camp and it may be us.

Yeah I’ve been watching football a long time. I’m not arguing that short yardage situations aren’t critical. I’m saying Zeke sucks now and the small value he brings on short yardage alone isn’t worth the roster spot. There are other running backs that can do the same job.

A washed RB who doesn’t play special teams and is a detriment on regular downs isn’t worth a roster spot for short yardage situations alone.

With the owner/gm, evp/ceo/dpp, hc, and the qb keep hemming and hawing about the subject....don't be surprised if Elliott eschews a decent offer from another team to wait around for the Cowboys to shoehorn him on the roster late November or early December if the team is a formidable contender at that time of the season.

I think re-signing Zeke for minimum is a real possibility. But it’s not the best thing for this team. And Zeke may decide to just retire if he can’t get above minimum.
