I choose to stand behind Cooper Rush until he gives me a reason otherwise

I get it that you guys “like” Cooper Rush.

The problem is that he is simply not an NFL level quarterback.

He’s not even a really good backup QB.

He’s just a guy who Jerry likes that was carried to a few wins years ago when Dak was hurt. His own play in those games was not good. His physical tools are just bad.

At this point the season is cooked and, since any wins from here on out don’t do anything more than give me a reason to smile while the game is actually being played, I suppose him being bad is ok.

And Lance is?

He's not playing with nearly as talented a roster as 2022. Plus, the schedule is tough. No cream puffs for the next 4-5 weeks. He could easilly lose every game........

yes but he hasnt played a game in 2 years !
Last game was a warm up, but the bad thing is the last game he played was against a good phil team, and he got beat bad.
Now his first game will be against guess who?? lol another good phil team !

Tough to have phil be his first game and I dont expect him to win this one, maybe the texans game or some after that.

Some people won’t even give Cooper Rush a chance and that’s the intent! This thread has nothing to do with Dak! At 5-1 he’s at least earned the right to have a chance. That’s the point!

If we are talking "starter", is Dak at this time?

Coop is 100% a legit NFL QB. Is he a "starter"? Probably not, but no one really knows. That is the point of the thread, he has done well when given the chance and deserves this playing time.

I personally think the worst thing for the organization is that they win enough with him to get them middle of the pack. But I'm not rooting against "him". He's done nothing wrong.

Barkley is going to have his best day of the season , Cooper Rush will be in ketchup mode. That’s right ketchup all over the field. And I hate Philly.

All I can say is, I hope you’re right. But I remember the last time Cooper Rush tried to beat Philly. And we were much much much better team.

We have yet to see that’s the issue. This is not preseason any longer, wihen they tell him just go sling it and see what happens . I’m much rather see him more Mobile for sure. Cooper Rush is going to be ketchup all over the field.

I'm willing to bet we actually start trying to establish a run game now. Now we'll take the balanced team approach. It'll benefit Rush to do it really it benefits ALL qbs. It just shows how goofy the coaching staff is sometimes when the answer to most of the problems is so basic and right in your face the whole time.

Well then if Cooper gets hurt then we will see Lance soon anyway.
Guessing Lance's days as a Cowboys are numbered anyway due to salary cap.

Cooper Rush has been in the league for 8 years. He's not gonna turn into Tony Romo replacing Drew Bledsoe. He's mostly a bus driver with very limited tools, sorta like a poor man's Steve Pelluer.
