I choose to stand behind Cooper Rush until he gives me a reason otherwise

We all do.

Or should at least.
Well said.

The OP said to stand behind him until he gives us a reason not to. "Stand" is the wrong word.
We all "stand" behind every player but we "believe" in them until they give us a reason not to.

Rush is a 2 million a year career backup surrounded around one of the most mediocre AND injured rosters.

5-1 speaks for itself. He’s earned the right to compete and he’s earned the right to have a chance. I both support and stand behind Cooper Rush. He’s done enough to earn that right and I believe in him. It’s starting to feel like 2022 again and the Cooper “The Rush” Rush hype train is starting again on this forum. He might fall flat on his face and if he loses the next two games then fine he isn’t the one but until then he’s earned the right for a chance and I’ll be giving him that chance!
I'm with ya Bro...............!

Unless he can play DT, OT RB and QB at the same time the results are going to be bad.

Do you stand by our Oline, our running game and our ability for receivers to create separation???

We heard all this... noise.... before. "tank now" they said. And yeah sure...maybe coop didn't do it all by himself. But I am SURE the defense appreciated few TOs.

We will go ahead and bookmark the thread. Not for me...either way is entirely possible to me. But for you...drawing your line in the sand like that.

But do try to cheer him on as best as you can as if he were Dak.
I have been talking about Rush being a clipboard holder since he joined the team.

No need to “draw a line in the sand”. I knew what he was years ago.

He’s a spare. Always has been, always will be.

I’m convinced that Cooper fans spend all their time watching Dak’s bad plays and zero time actually watching Rush play.

If we are talking "starter", is Dak at this time?

Coop is 100% a legit NFL QB. Is he a "starter"? Probably not, but no one really knows. That is the point of the thread, he has done well when given the chance and deserves this playing time.

I personally think the worst thing for the organization is that they win enough with him to get them middle of the pack. But I'm not rooting against "him". He's done nothing wrong.
We don’t have to announce any of them.

I was against them extending Dak.

I’ve also been against Rush and Lance. They both are terrible.

What confounds me is how some of us insist on believing that one of our QBs is a good solution.
The reality is that we are saddled and stuck with Dak due to his contract.

Rush and Lance could be a placed by 50 dudes on practice squads or on a couch somewhere and it would do nothing for the teams future.
Being a Cowboy fan doesn’t mean you have to hype up bad players.

It’s no different than proclaiming Deuce as the answer at RB.

Give him a chance? Well, he’s gonna have it.

Best case scenario is he proves he’s a middle of the pack backup NFL QB.

Why should that excite anyone?

To what end?

When the cowboys have a chance to be good again, not holding my breath, but whenever we have a “window”, of our backups will even be on the team.

Coop has my full support, no matter what way things go. He plays his role perfectly.

. WOuld like to see Trey in certain specific situations to keep the defense guessing and prevent them from either just tee-ing off or sitting in coverage.
Trey Lance is more athletic than Rush.

plus 3rd pick in the 2021 draft.

Ya'll hear Vic Fangio's comments about facing Rush?

He doesn't think it changes anything. That's what $210M guaranteed got ya.

No, it doesn't. That's a team record.

Rush is a backup w/ no arm. Good luck w/ your cheer squad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people won’t even give Cooper Rush a chance and that’s the intent! This thread has nothing to do with Dak! At 5-1 he’s at least earned the right to have a chance. That’s the point!
No he hasn't. He's earned the backup role, that's what he's earned. Wish he had Dak's arm, or Dak had his head for the game.

Not "fans of cooper"...fans of THE TEAM.

So dak DOES have a lot of bad plays to watch? Okay.

At least we will see some passes over 8 yards out there (In the air passes) win or lose.
Oh, thank the heavens the Dink and Dunk Inept show and Here weeeeeeeeeeeee gooooooooooooooo show is over for now................
Rush in ‘22- 6.27 air yards per attempt
Dak in ‘24- 6.43 air yards per attempt

Weird, almost like your narrative doesn’t fit reality
