I choose to stand behind Cooper Rush until he gives me a reason otherwise

Swing and a miss champ.
How so?

Many of Dak's biggest adherents seem openly invested in the team's failure now.

Look. I understand we differ on our assessment of Dak's worth. That's fine, I enjoy good debate and discussion

What I don't get is, why doesn't the pro Dak logic extend to Rush as well? Meaning, those of us who were pissed about him getting extended and want him gone are constantly told "he's the qb whether you like it or not so you might as well rally behind him"

Well, now he's out for the foreseeable future. And I'm not hearing a lot of "well Rush is the qb now whether we like it or not so we might as well rally behind him"

Instead I'm hearing

season is flushed. Play Lance. You got what you wanted "haters"

Honest question, why the difference? I have my opinions but they're just that, opinions. I'd actually enjoy the perspective of someone who demands unwavering support for Dak and excuses pretty much all of his shortcomings after 9 years as starter, but has no issue with dumping on Rush and treating him like a red headed (literally) stepchild when he hasn't even started a game in forever

You mightily exaggerate. Your hatred is astounding. Good luck with talking in circles. I'm tired.

What? I know you hate Dak, but did I just read that you think we’ll have a more vertical passing attack with Cooper Rush?

The guy has a very weak arm and anything beyond 20 yards in the air, and I’m being generous, floats because he needs “hang time” on his passes to get them down field.

I didn’t want them to extend Dak either, but your post is just terrible and feels more like an “influencer selling their brand” type of post than it is a serious comment.
According to Troy and Romo, he does have a weak arm, but it has gotten stronger due to drills and technique.

Where did I exaggerate?

I'm asking to hear your unfiltered perspective. If I'm misreading you and others, tell me how?

Low football IQ fans just can't get it through their heads that it's a team sport. We have a garbage team. So, a back up QB is going to fail miserably. Ya'll got your wish.
Here's what I'm talking about

"Rush will fail miserably. You guys got your wish" etc

Where's the "rush is our guy whether we like it or not. Let's rally behind him"

Tell me where I'm misreading you. Tell me where I'm "exaggerating mightily"

That's a delusional take. Prescott may not be a top tire QB, but some of you guys have really gone off the deep end.
But take note, this current team is going to get slaughtered the rest of the season.
Suggesting any of the back ups will succeed with this offense is either not all there or just trolling.

At any rate, you get your wish. I'm curious who crawls back under their rock.
You . . . it will be you who crawls back under the rock. . . enjoy

My assessment was nothing but pure, street grade, unadulterated facts.

If you wish to ignore the reality of how the 2022 season began, be my guest.

In a lot of ways the similarities are striking.

Dakota starts out horrible, the team appears to be in disarray, and then when he gets hurt all of his loyal subjects declare the season to be over and mock his critics with "you all got your wish, enjoy watching the team get slaughtered without Dak"

In 2022 they did just fine without him.

Will they do fine without him again? Time will tell. But it's crystal clear that the Church of Dak is praying that they don't win without him. And that confirms what we've been saying for years about the persistent problem of the Dak over Dallas portion of our fanbase
Wow, you slayed him

If we are talking "starter", is Dak at this time?

Coop is 100% a legit NFL QB. Is he a "starter"? Probably not, but no one really knows. That is the point of the thread, he has done well when given the chance and deserves this playing time.

I personally think the worst thing for the organization is that they win enough with him to get them middle of the pack. But I'm not rooting against "him". He's done nothing wrong.
Everyone knows he is not starter material except the few who are holding on to a straw in the middle of ocean trying not to drown

He is a decent backup. Probably top 10 backup

To what end? Rush is terrible. They have zero chance at a playoff spot. Throw Lance out there and at least get the final answer on him. I know Lance is raw as heck but he needs to play.
Final answer is that he will not be on the 2025 roster

They always talk themselves into a corner but they are stubborn and vigilant which allows for their steadfastness

At least we will see some passes over 8 yards out there (In the air passes) win or lose.
Oh, thank the heavens the Dink and Dunk Inept show and Here weeeeeeeeeeeee gooooooooooooooo show is over for now................
Passes over 8 yards LOL....too funny...Rush struggles getting the ball 15 yards down field. I mean when he throws a pass I go make a sandwich, forgot the mustard so i go to the store and get mustard and come back. Make the sandwich and sit and then the pass is almost there....

Yeah a bit of exaggeration but really close to the truth.

And your Rush man crush is book market to be thrown at you soon enough.

Now can I have fries with that burger and don't burn it this time like last time you did

Sadly when Dak passes the ball you may get hit by the ball on your way to the store
