Im a fan of the journey of this team and if they come up short so be it. I want them to win #6 but i dont get all bent out of shape like alot of people on this site if they dont. The stats are fine to me. its representaive of how good a player is. wins are a TEAM stat
Exactly--- TEAM is a win thing and WINS are for fans. Stats are for players/contracts.

Read what I said, not what you want to spin it. I said, I don't care about the players stats. Of course, I enjoy the players doing well WHEN IT LEADS TO A WIN. If what the players did ( vs NYG ) ended in a loss, then what the players did means nothing.

I enjoy the week BECAUSE OF THE WIN, not what any player did.
Are you really under the impression that fans would be happy about big player stats if the team didn't win? The win is why fans are happy, and the success of the players that lead to the win is only a supplement to the enjoyment.

Exactly--- TEAM is a win thing and WINS are for fans. Stats are for players/contracts.
How do you expect the team to win without accumulating stats or without having the kinds of players that can make the plays that are measured statistically?

Fans don't get excited about game stats because they want a player to get a big paycheck, they get excited about game stats because they contributed to winning a game, and are a sign the Cowboys have the kind of team and kind of playmakers that can help win games the rest of the season

I am glad the Cowboys won-- more on the later.

As far as Lamb, Dak, Parsons, etc.... personal stats ~ DO NOT CARE !

Personal players stats are for their next contract, being patted on the back and praised with the media.
Until this franchise can get to a damn NFC Conference game THIS CENTURY, will continue to say it.
Romo, Dez, Ware, Witten, Owens, etc.... ALL had stats but the stats NONE of them had was ZERO NFC Conference game played. Hell, Ware had to leave Dallas to get his chance and Parsons will eventually leave Dallas for the same reasons.

Great the team WON ! But how many years have this same scenario been sold ( FOOLS GOLD/Pyrite) to Cowboys fans?
Answer: 27 years

Get to a NFC Conference game and break this trend. Until then, do not care.
Now, go beat Carolina
Good for you bud lol. Your "that fan"

Well said. I think a lot of the old timers on here feel the same way at least I do.
Good lord, not this old-timer. Sports is entertainment, and I enjoy football for all sorts of reasons, including watching the games (win or lose, but especially win!), seeing cool individual performances and achievements, and so on and so forth. I don't understand people who take no pleasure in any of this stuff because they're only thinking about the likely failure that will happen at some point later in the season. It seems terribly sad to me and I wonder why they bother being fans at all.

That's what allows you to state your opinion, not why you do. Surely there is some reason other than to mindlessly type words on a screen.

Oh, and by the way, the 1st amendment won't actually protect you on this site regardless of what you write. The admins and moderators can restrict content. I'm not saying you crossed that line, just pointing out that 1st amendment protection just means most speech isn't illegal, not that there can't be other consequences
As Trace Adkins put it, "Son, the first amendment protects you from the government, not me."

Individual player stats do not impress me either. But when a player is putting up stats every game it helps the team because of the way opposing teams have to game plan for that player. Yesterday was a good thing because not only did Lamb go off but we got Dak and Cooks together. Those stats carry water because opposing teams will need to game plan for multiple players. Dak is not only going to be looking at Lamb and trying to force it to Gallup. He will now be more comfortable getting it to Cooks. Would be a good time to get this new speedy WR in the mix while we have carolina next. But over all if you can’t apply these stats to good teams and beat them then it means nothing more than a better contract for the player or bigger trade bait.

Gonna be some sweet padding against the the Panthers too.

Not a bad idea to stat load before playing the Bills, Dolphins,Eagles, Lions and Seahawks……they may not want to part with yards, sacks and TDs the way some tanking teams are

Being 'extremely enthusiastic about and devoted to some interest or activity' means different things to different people. For that reason, fanaticism is conditional for some.

There have always been and will always be fans who spontaneously become just as happy or crazed or joyful or boisterous, etc., as their fellow fans but only after their personally held prerequisites for those emotion responses have been justified as they see it.
