Zeke is Jerrys boy so he gets to play. Gregory is Jerrys boy so he gets to play. Collins is Jerrys boy so he gets to play. Just like Jaylon was and Crawford was. The list goes on and on. Play time when available is not affected by selfishness, ineffectiveness, past suspensions, past injuries, etc. Play time is determined by super Jerry. Heck play style is determined by super Jerry. This whole freaking clown show is run by an old drunk buffoon.

Now if Zeke's knee injury was so limiting why would he rush for 110 yards and 5.2 yards per carry the very next week? How is that possible 7 days after a ligament tear yet it's so debilitating the rest of the season?

I'm sure he had a knee issue but I think it's been used to cover for a rapidly declining once superstar. A player the Cowboys are not only heavily invested in and loyal to because of the contract but the fact that he's the QB's best friend.

This is a real problem and it's not going away in 2022. No matter how many awesome offseason workout videos he posts.

From what I've read, Zeke refused to sit out. He saw what Pollard did against LAC and knew he might be out of a job if Pollard got too many carries.

Everyone from players to coaches to executives were raving about the type of shape Zeke was in coming into camp, his ypg were on his pace with his sophomore season and then right around the time he was supposed to have been injured, his numbers seemingly fall of a cliff. Think about that for a minute, best shape in his career, numbers in line with his sophomore season, numbers tank out of nowhere...and people actually believe he wasn't injured.

First, nobody said he wasn't injured. Try to read more carefully. I said the exact opposite actually.

I didn't question whether he was injured. I questioned whether the injury was really the reason for the decline. This confused you apparently.

And his numbers didn't dive right when he was injured. He decided to have his 2nd most productive game of his entire season the week after the injury before the decline.

There were a lot of smart people here that said it was a bad idea. There were also a lot of people here who thought Elliott was this transcedent player that we had to sign. Those people look completely foolish at this time.

The structure was the killer on that deal.

So he was so hurt that he was unable to perform yet he continued to play even though it was hurting the team. If this is your stance then who is to blame? IMHO Zeke is to blame and the coaches are to blame and the Owner is to blame. Bottom line is our fat little RB is looking for his latest and greatest get out of jail free card. IMHO he is as guilty as anyone.

Again, by all accounts he was in the best shape of his career coming into camp. His numbers the first month of the season were right on pace with what he was doing in his second season. All signs were pointing to him being a top 3-4 rusher and having a great bounce back season. Maybe you're confused, a 26 year old doesn't just fall of a cliff 5 weeks into the season.

There's your answer. The players don't decide who gets to play. (or doesn't get to play in this case). That's on coaches/FO
