I Don't Get It.

I've done my fair share of complaining about this team, but the amount of whiners on here after a win is amazing. Some people here want to win by 30+ every game. Let's just get the W's and look foward to next week! I don't know how but we pulled out a W yesterday and I'll take it. You can say your concerned or whatever but the NFL is a crazy league. You get teams like the Bengals and Eagles laying eggs against the Raiders. KC putting up 27 points against the vaunted Stealers D. The Jets dominating Brady.

You never know how teams are going to come out. Take the wins and look foward to the next week please! That's all we can want as fans.

Every NFL team goes through funks. Either in one phase or the other.

The Saints defense has been a let down several times.

It just so happens that funk is the Offense with the Dallas Cowboys. Offense is sexier, so it's more obvious when things arn't going well.

NOTHING.

Plenty of things to be concerned about but anytime we beat the Commanders all is right in the world.

I agree completely that teams can go through funks, and I certainly understand this team can turn things around and start scoring points again. But it's natural for people to worry about it when a funk happens. After all, it can't be predicted when funks will happen, or when they will end, so all we can go by is what the team is doing in the present.

that was a very bad Commander team that was missing it's #1 & #2 rbs, it's #1 TE, it's whole starting o-line, it's best defensive player, it's starting strong safety, etc. we were lucky to beat a very bad injury riddled team yesterday at home coming off a whoopin last week. this team is gonna live and die by the offense cause it's the best part of the team. the defense has been playing good(not as good as some of you think) and I'll be suprised if that lasts.

You're right, Slate. I was away from the board all weekend and I got home last night looking forward to some concern over the offense, but mostly happiness that the D held up and we beat the hated Commanders in crunch time. Instead I see that the O (or whole team) stinks and the D wasn't really that good after all.

Geez, we're 7-3. Isn't it a positive that we have that record when we aren't hitting on all cylinders yet? The Steelers have won a ton of games like this one over the years, and when they do it they are physical and gritty and mentally tough. When we do it, it's a near-disaster.

I guess it's just that so many people see the offense as "the team". But no, there are three phases to the game, and the O is only one of them.

I'm growing more concerned about the little things.Witten with a false start,an illegal shift by Bennett,a hands to the face penalty by Newman.Or how about allowing Washington to convert 46% of their third downs.I believe mistakes like these are drive killers on offense and drive enablers on defense.Mistakes like these are from a lax practice enviroment in my opinion.Hands to the face penalties are from bad technique more than anything else,that should be cleaned up during the week.Same goes for illegal shifts and false starts,they need to be addressed during the week.If a few of these issues are addressed and fixed this team will look alot better on gameday.The bad thing is that Parcells didn't have this team playing with discipline and I highly doubt that Wade will succeed in correcting these things either.I especially doubt it when it has been widely reported that Wade struggles with attention to detail.Maybe the players are just stupid and any coach regardless of his style will fail with this group.Does anybody truly no?

Good post and I wish the fans have this type of mindset. However, most here don't but it is a good thing that the players has the aforementioned mentality.

A win is a win, the trick is to win when it counts and no one will remember how sexy it was or wasn't. This team is showing some character and that character should carry us where we need to be at the end of December.

I would've settled for a 20 point win, or even a 10 point win.

No doubt I'll take any win, but do you really not see any problems with getting shutout by a sorry Commanders team for over 57 minutes?
