This was a HUGE win for us, simply because it would have been a devastating loss.

Everyone knows we have alot of work to do. But for myself, I couldn't be happier that we stabbed all the Commander fans in the heart yesterday. I almost view it as payback for the Triplets Induction night beating that Mark Brunell and Santana Moss put on us.

The Skins kicked our ***** for almost that entire game, but we hung tough and gutted out a tough victory when we could have just folded up and called it a day at 1-2 in division.

I'm thrilled.

There was so many opportunities for this team to fold and I admit I thought they would. The morbid feeling that some got after the win has to be 100 times better then what the skins are feeling right now, lol.

It actually feels more like the Monday night game during the Campo years when Stephen Davis fumbled as the Commanders were trying to put the game away and we came back and won 9-7.

For anyone that is whining about the game, .. would it make you feel better if we dominated them for 58 minutes and then give them two long TD's in the last two minutes to lose?

I mean really, .. answer the question.

A win is a win. We are 7-3.

In some recent years I think we lose the game yesterday and the one in K.C.

We would be 5-5 if that happens.

Be grateful for each "W". We can work on correcting stuff and getting better, and then we play again on Thursday.

A win is a win. I have no problems with that.

Especially at the expense of the dreaded deadskins.

I was just upset that the Cowboys took so long to score. They played along great, letting the deadskins think they actually had a chance at winning. Like they were contending or something. Please.

They played bad, but won the game. It was the Commanders, so I'm not sure how people got it in their heads that Dallas was going to blow them out anyway. Dallas has not done that in a long time now. 5-1 in the last six games with a good chance to end the month exactly where we hoped (on top of the Division) is still pretty acceptable to me.

Hopefully this win, as ugly as it was, will give us a spark. That ugly OT win over KC seemed to have ignited us earlier in the season, so maybe this one yesterday will do something similar.

I thought we were going to lose yesterday because we were playing terrible.

I think a lot of people on here believe what they saw from the Cowboys yesterday is the type of team they are. A not very good team.

IMO we just played bad and that doesn't resemble what type of club this is.

I've done my fair share of complaining about this team, but the amount of whiners on here after a win is amazing. Some people here want to win by 30+ every game. Let's just get the W's and look foward to next week! I don't know how but we pulled out a W yesterday and I'll take it. You can say your concerned or whatever but the NFL is a crazy league. You get teams like the Bengals and Eagles laying eggs against the Raiders. KC putting up 27 points against the vaunted Stealers D. The Jets dominating Brady.

You never know how teams are going to come out. Take the wins and look foward to the next week please! That's all we can want as fans.

When you were bringing home D's from school, were your parents jumping for joy? I mean, you passed, right? You didn't technically fail, right? So were they happy with you barely getting by? I'm guessing "no," and rightly so. Regarding yesterday's dismal victory, the only appropriate or "sensible" emotion is relief or exasperation, not joy. You may now return to your pom-pom routine.

After the win I felt exhausted, like I wanted to throw up, and very very very happy.

Commanders fans had to feel like their balls just got ripped off.

I'll take my feeling, and I'll take 7-3, and I'll take being in first place in the NFC East after 10 games.

Thanks.

only if they trade all the players I don't like and sign a bunch of players I do like, same with coaches, and maybe let me in the war room on draft day.

Tell ya what. When we win the Super Bowl 7-6 I'll say you were right, there was nothing to worry about or be concerned over.

Until then, I think maybe this forum can be used as, oh I don't know, a discussion forum on the Cowboys.

If you want to play little Mary Sunshine and act like we just destroyed a terrible team instead of just barley squeaking out a win in the last moments of the game, feel free.

Some may want a more substantive football discussion however.

Well, that's what happens when the shills and enablers start spreading their "a win is a win!" nonsense, as if playing like **** for 58 minutes and barely eking by an injury-riddled opponent at home is cause for celebration. Get a grip.

Has anyone ever seen a team play poorly one week and then good the next?

Or good one week and then poorly the next?

Take the win and get ready for Thursday.

I have no problem with this win -- despite the raspiness in my throat from screaming at the computer and a slight bruising on the fleshy part of my right hand (wood is harder than most parts of a human).

And I think a big part of the offensive problems -- apart from the fact that neither RW or Miles Austin are really good at catching passes up high and JG has no good 3rd-and-1 or -2 play in his arsenal for some reason -- stemmed from the injury to Romo's back. It doesn't take much injury to your core to throw off a throwing motion a little, and I think that's what we saw some of yesterday.

Some dropped passes, some bad passes, some mental mistakes leading to penalties or sacks, and that's a lot of thwarted drives. Plus the lack of turnovers by the defense -- till that last good play by Bowen and Spencer of course.

Note: If Spencer keeps playing the way he's been playing, with the pressures, the very good run defense, the pretty good pass defense, and the constant hustle, I don't really care if he gets no sacks all season.

If we started the playoffs tomorrow-I'd be worried. However, we are first in the division and admittedly not playing our best Football right now. This is good, as we have 6 weeks to work on a few things especially on the offensive side of the ball.

There is no advantage to be peaking November and playing our best Football now. It makes no sense.

I hate to break it to you, but a win is a win. Last year's world champs beat the Browns 10-6 the first time they played them last season, lost 15-6 to the Eagles and got a nice win-streak jump started by an 11-10 win over San Diego.

The year before that the World Champion Giants had a host of nasty losses, losing two of their last three, including a bad 22-10 loss to the Todd Collins' led Commanders.

You never know what's going to happen. Hand-wringing over an ugly win as though it was really a loss is pointless. The players and coaches know that you're not going to win alot of games playing like that, and have expressed such. So just sit back and enjoy the fact that we just stole one from our biggest rival, knowing that a loss like that will probably send the Commanders into a nose-dive.

The problem is that lingering smell of ineptitude and pending collapse that won't go away,,, everybody has been waiting for years for this team to get over the hump and these disappearing acts by the offense bring up ugly memories of underachievement and heartbreaking failures.

Wow. Slate is not exactly know for waving pom-poms. I appreciate his effort to see both sides.

I, like most posters here are relived we squeaked out a win. Obviously there are issues. I do not see the point of bashing a guy who is attempting to remain positive.
