I don't think any team can straight up beat us, except the Falcons

I actually think having players that don't have experience with the magnitude of the game can be a good thing. They tend to be a bit more loose.

We're playing with house money here ever since Romo went down.

Especially coming off a 4-12 season , and all those 8-8 enders. To me we are beyond anything I would have imagined, and getting our players playoff experience at this point in their career will pay dividends at this team matures.

Even our great 90's teams lost the first few goes in the playoffs.

Running the ball is also important.

It is especially with a young QB but it has to be consistent and not just for a half like it was against the Giants in the 07 playoffs. We ran all over them in the first half but we couldn't make stops and our running game (Barber) ran out of gas in the second half. He wasn't use to carrying the load against a fresh defense and burned out.

The Giants have a much better QB, and that's not even considering the weirdness that is playoff Eli. We are going to have the worse QB in each playoff game we play, unless Tampa Bay sneaks in. It's just a matter of how gigantic the gap is.
Lol
You never know when playoff Eli might show up.
He has been terrible playoff, one and done Eli most of the time.
People forget that.
But then, two different and magical years, up popped the unicorn.
Feast or famin wirh him in the playoffs.
Here's to more famine!

We're entering the playoffs with a rookie QB. Anyone who thinks they're not highly vulnerable to getting beat is kidding themselves.

They are trying to accomplish what has never been done before.

Kidding themselves. Hmmm. Ok.

Same type of thing that was said about the Allied Invasion to defeat the ***** on "D" Day. Never been done before. Probably will fail.

But at some point, being the better team just overwhelms your opponent.

Its not over confidence. It just is what it is. Grind it out. Make it happen.

Without TO in 2007 (yes, on the field, but injured), the Cowboys collapsed. They were not mentally tough enough. They relied too much on raw talent. And not enough on hard work.

But that is all in the past. We're already proven we don't need Dez to win football games. Or Romo for that matter.

This 2016 version of the Dallas Cowboys is strong. Focused. Ready. Loose. And will be getting key pieces back on defense in the coming weeks.

So why all the ruckus?

Look. I couldn't give a damn less about my reputation on this BB. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong. If I'm right then so what?

But what we are witnessing has to be believed. And believed in. At least by me. ALL ABOARD!!!!

There is no easy matchup. Each team poses its own challenge. Barring a rash of turnovers, the games are going to be tight and likely come down to the final 4 minutes. Dallas is playing at home and will be favored for good reason against ANY opponent in the NFC. Let's not lose sight of that.

If Dallas plays defense like they have for the past few weeks the falcants won't be a problem!! They can't beat teams with decent offenses.. Their D is horrid without their best corner and they lost a couple of other pieces on the D. Ryan is good for a pick or two.. If we get to that point I like our chances!!! Go Big D!!

The 07 Cowboys were collapsing before TO ever got hurt. They struggled to beat a bad Detroit team in week 14 and looked horrible at home in a loss against Philly. Romo's game was in a Dec/Jan funk and he couldn't come out of it. This team may go far but they're not going to overwhelm anyone because they've done very little of that this season. We've been able to come from behind in some games, winning one of them in OT and we've scratched out some tough wins in some very close games the last few weeks. We've looked anything but dominate the past month. We're not going to be mowing down the Packers, Falcons, Giants or Seahawks if we face them, they're going to be 4 quarter battles that can go either way. We have a rookie QB and every opponent is going to try and put games on his shoulders forcing him to have to beat them.

You can bank on my reputation here that reaching the SB isn't going to be easy. The playoffs usually come down to who's hot and the better team at the moment. It doesn't matter how many games you've won during the regular season or how good you were in week 5 or 6, it's how you're playing entering the playoffs that will determine your fate. Wrapping everything up early might turn out to be the worst thing that could have happened to us, if it results in us easing up and players start worrying about getting hurt as they look ahead to the playoffs. We have to play our last two regular season games like they matter so we maintain our confidence and enter the playoffs on a positive note. We can't afford to look sloppy and we have to work on reducing our penalties.

ATL has the horses to beat us if we get into a shootout. All Dallas has to do is win TOP and score TD's and not settle for FG's.

They are the only team that worries me, all about those match-ups. Play our game and it shouldn't be a problem though

The Falcons rank 17th against the run. I ain't scared of them. Bring it!

They're also the highest scoring team in the league, averaging just over 33 points a game with five games over 40 points. They have one of the top QBs in the league who's having a great year and possibly the greatest receiver in the game since Randy Moss in my opinion in Julio Jones. Our 28th pass defense doesn't match up well with their 3rd ranked passing attack and a receiver like Julio Jones. The last high powered offense we faced (Wash) it took 31 points to beat them. It's going to take a shootout to beat Atlanta especially in perfect dome conditions.

You're one of those FANS who may end up being humbled. Not saying we can't beat Atlanta but we don't match up well with them. Ryan completed 12 passes in his first 14 attempts to 9 different receivers yesterday. If we face them and don't have a pass rush they'll win by at least two scores and you can quote me on that.

Nice reality check... Stats are just that. W's are what counts...

Total wins are important, however recent winning streaks are possibly just as important.

Momentum going into the playoffs is such a huge deal -- far more on how how many games you may have won back on September.

Rosters in the NFL change so much over the course of a season.

Oh trust me, I got to hear Deadskins fans tell me last night how much either the Seahawks or the Patriots(if we make the superbowl) will own us. I'm pretty confident we can steamroll anyone who gets in our way if we stay focused on the goals at task.

Everyone we play is going to try and put the game on Dak because putting it all on the QB, especially a rookie QB is where you can force most of the mistakes. We have to limit the penalties that have put us behind the chains in some long down situations. This is where Dak struggled mightily against the Giants a couple of weeks ago. We've been our own worst enemy with penalties that have nullified some great plays and put us in a number 3rd and long situations.

We're not going to "steamroll" anyone in the playoffs we're going to have our hands full. The Browns were the only team we "steamrolled" this season and they're the worst team in the league.

No they don't. You just have a hatred for Dak it's obvious.

Eli - 63% compl, 26 tds, 16 ints, 86.2 qbr
Dak -67.7% compl, 20 td, 4 int, 103.2 qbr.

Yeah but with the way this defense is playing at the moment I think we can pull a 2015 Denver Broncos in the playoffs.

Are you serious? The Broncos had the #1 defense in the league last season with two of the best pass rushers in the game. You're allowing David Irving's performance against Tampa last week to warp your line of thinking. lol We may be able to get more of a pass rush if Gregory can be somewhat disruptive but we're not coming close to producing 14 sacks and all the pressures Denver did during the playoffs last year....get real!

Eli is the far more experienced QB and his playoff experience does give them an edge over Dak despite how well Dak has played but to say we're going to have the worse QB in each playoff game we play is ridiculous! We're going to have the least experienced QB in each playoff game we play. Try getting it straight!

Well, there you go thinking again.
Yep. I have a feeling that this Cowboy team on a good day could beat any team in the league. Doesn't mean they will, football being football and one game showdowns what they are, but the club certainly could win it all.
