BTW, I got another "PayPal" email this morning. I went to PayPal's website and forwarded the email to them. I don't know what good it'll do, but maybe it will prompt them to issue a warning to their customers.
I did the same thing with an Apple email and they responded to me. Whoever crafted that email was good, had it looking really authentic, just asked questions that set off the alarm.

There are two kinds of theft, that of need and that of want. If i was starving i would steal to stay alive regardless of what the current society considered me, and i would do that because of need, not want. Now to people stealing because of want. Well i must ask why do they want that? Where and how did they learn to want that?
But your example of need is very extreme and not really about these points being made. Its the want that's the issue.

I mentioned the want and posed questions as to why they wanted it. You didn't see those questions?

What email service are you guys using? Usually those scam emails are flagged as spam. I dont know how it works but I believe they cross reference links embedded in the emaIl. You can usually check just by hovering over the questioned link and if the PayPal logo says some bs url there you go.

Sounded like a rhetorical question. I cant provide the answers for the evil and/or greedy.

How do you know they are evil and or greedy? What seperates the greedy who work and might take advantage of the weak for it and those who just steal it?

Is someone who works in advertising and using imaging to prey on the weak minded to sell their product considered evil to you?

How do I know a lifelong criminal or scammer is evil or greedy? Don't need an answer for that.

What separates the greedy who work? What are you even going on about? Just because you work doesn't mean you're honest. If you're trying to sidetrack into something regarding executive pay that's a completely different subject and very much a reach in this argument, lets not go there and lose track if that's what you were getting at.

People who steal are simply greedy. Lets not make it more difficult to understand. For clarification, Im not talking about the most unfortunate underprivileged 3rd world people that steal food.

I use Outlook and Apple told me I was one of the first to receive that email, before it started getting flagged.

It is difficult to understand and those who can't understand it should go and relearn so they can understand it, otherwise they should let those who can understand it make the decesions for them.

You need to be specific. Theres nothing wrong with enticing potential customers. If a customer sees something they want that doesnt make the ad evil.

I'm not going to keep guessing what exactly youre getting at with these broad arguments. If the ad condones something very serious and illegal thats another discussion and yes that would be evil. If the ad promotes gambling to kids yes thats evil. Many things speak for themselves, what are you questioning?

And i'm not going to indulge you and your narrow view of what evil and or greed is. These topics are very complicated and you wish to make them simple when they are not simple.

All you've done is asked broad questions and have me fill in the blanks of every word in a 3,000 page novel lol

If you want to question something specific then by all means do so. If you wish the play victim cards as I feel that is where this is leading (correct me if I'm wrong) then maybe you should be directing self reflection to those who need help.

Caveat emptor applies in that situation.

What world exists where the smart don't prey on and take advantage of the weak minded? The question comes down to do they have to lie to accomplish that? And honesty is not clearly defined by all.

Is it dishonest not to come with the whole truth up front? Why does the phrase "read the fine print" exist?

I do not know any smart people that do not have a healthy level of skepticism. It's just human nature defending oneself against human nature.

Caveat emptor applies to law, not evil or greed. He was using words like evil and greed which are not as easily understood and are of a very complicated nature.

As far as what world exists, well we are only discussing this world and in this world there are many views as to what is evil and or greedy. I was simply stating that if someone wishes to state someone/something is evil or greedy, well by what means did they come to that conclusion. To me evil and or greedy is anything that looks to take advantage of another whether it is legal or not, or whether it is accepted by this culture or not.

The fact that a statement like one must "read the fine print" exists is a clear indication that evil exists in things that are lawful, but he started heading in a direction that if it's lawful it's not as bad as if it's unlawful, and that is where i dissagreed with him and anyone who agrees with him.

It's a simple problem to solve, but the problem is that everyone is evil and greedy, as a civilaztion we only decide to punish certian things as evil and or greedy and thats where the problem is and thats where one must get to inorder to solve the problem.

At no point did I say anything legal is not greedy or evil. And from what youve said I agree with most. While there's a broad scope to what is evil and greedy i believe any decent human can mostly agree on many things for what is greedy and evil. Sure some things require a discussion.

One example, the fine print isn't always implying it's being deceptive.

So have I. I've never heard a question asked that would lead to such an answer. It would have to be offered w/o prodding.
Perhaps it is a state or regional thing. It is commonly asked enough here that anyone called to jury duty state something extreme in order to try getting out of their responsibility.

"Started with individual morals, self accountability and parental guidance, but we're in a day an age now where media/social media influence plays a very large role in all of this. Those initial three are more important, but for those that are lost and broken a correction to the networked side may veer it back on track."

Here you mentioned morals which falls in the same catergory as evil and greed.

"Sounded like a rhetorical question. I cant provide the answers for the evil and/or greedy."

Here you did mention evil and greed and tried to tie them into the conversation.

as I stated before it starts with self accountability, actually having decent human morals (having faith is typically helpful but in extreme cases there are those who abuse a system of whatever religion), and good parental (mother and a father) guidance. That will trickle down to everything this world has tI offer.

My other argument presented things we can do now to help with those effects that can happen down the line.
