I don't understand why the Cowboys fear 'cap hell'

30 years of mismanagement? The team entered the 2024 season with the second best record in the entire league over the previous three seasons. No, I am not delusional. My fellow Cowboy fans sure our a whinny and spoiled, entitled bunch!

Really! The other 31 NFL fanbases want to be “second best”. Go buy another logo key chain.

You just can't reason with a fan that is willing to settle every year. Fans that expect greatness aren't a spoiled, entitled bunch, they're fans who have experienced Cowboys greatness in their life. Based on his comments, I'd say he's probably a "newer" fan with a lot of swag.

Never enough swag. I have a Rick Neuheisel San Antonio Gunslingers replica jersey. And a Houston Gamblers shot glass. The list goes on and on. The Cowboys need to make a bold move to upgrade the roster. Philly is going to down$hift, but the Commander$ are going to be bold. All four NFC East teams have wicked schedules this season. The Cowboys could be involved in the division race if they get out of their comfort zone and step it up.

Isn't it past your bedtime little Timmah?

This isn't the English Premier League. There isn't a risk of demotion. If anything, being really bad for a couple of years rewards you with picking high which lets you fill your roster with high end talent (look how quickly guys like Hutchinson, Daniels, Burrows, etc have turned franchises around). I'd rather go actually go 'all-in' for a 3-4 year window by supplanting your good draft with effective FA pickups and see if you can win. Its worked for the Eagles, Rams and Bucs recently although obviously not guaranteed. Worst case you have to be poor for 1-2 years but with our scouting department, we should be able to recover faster than other teams. I'd much rather that than solely rely on our draft and D-list FA's which leads us to multiple 8-9 to 11-6 type years where we're never bad enough to get high picks (short of a QB injury) nor good enough to actually compete for a SB.

Dallas hasn't won in 30 years but is still a draw. Trying to win in a certain window and then rebuilding isn't going to lose you fans. It'll just give us hope in those years you do go for it.
Because Stephen and Jerry are the worst at negotiations. How often do they sign a productive player and you say that was a dam good deal? They are like a mime who paints himself into an imaginary box and can't find a way out so he starves to death. Too many examples of bloated contracts that make it impossible for the players to live upto expectations. They are about to way overpay Osa, then just wait till Micah fleeces them, probably make dak money.
