We need a catalyst on defense. Shawn Merriman would have helped. Instead we get Demarcus Ware, who's more silent than Larry Allen.

This is his team. He picked the players and the coaching staff.

Well, kinda sorta. But I'm not getting into the Merriman Ware debate.

BUt we don't seem to have guys who can get the key turnover when we need it...shorten the field...and help to get a few cheap scores.

No we don't, we lose by two.

After the Commanders miss the 49 yarder...there is 30 seconds left on the clock...Romo kneels down...game over...20-19.

Umm okay. Typically 26 points is enough to win a ball game. That would have been our score if TO would have caught the ball. I think receivers are supposed to receive the ball. I could be wrong.

I didn't mind this so much. If we kick the extra point, I'm sure Washington goes for two later...if they get it, guess what...tie game. I don't mind being aggressive. Hard to say on this call. I wouldn't have minded going up by three points there.

Yep, completely on Parcell's. I saw Bill jump offsides many many times. I also saw him hold a couple of times, drop an int, a sure td, and forget to block a defender on a FG attempt. It is all Parcell's fault.
I'm sorry, but those things are the HC's responsibility. Well-coached football teams don't make mistakes like that, nor lose games in the unbelievable fashion they have over the last 4 years.

The season is over. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. 2 weeks from now, we'll likely be 5-5 heading into a stretch run where we'd need to win 5 of 6 just to get a wildcard.

Frankly, I'd almost rather see the team lose enough the rest of the year so that Jones can't maintain that glimmer of hope that Parcells can turn it around....at least not with this coaching staff.

and you don't see the problem here? he's talking, yet noone's listening

Then talk differently.

If I keep talking and my employees don't get the message..and they were hired by me...I take the blame.

Ya can't have it both ways.

This is his team now.

The point I was making is, he did something different in the past. And I thought it was brilliant to have refs at the practices.

If talking isn't working...do something different.

no matter how bad the situation, you should NEVER hope that we lose any game. It's not over until we are mathematically eliminated. One more thing, Jerry will NEVER fire Parcells. He doesn't have to because Parcells will walk away first.

ya know, I have a customer/friend who was a ref at Giant practices for YEARS. When Parcells first took over the Giants, they were the most penalized team in the league. SO, he came up with an idea to change that. He had refs call penalties in practice. AND it worked.

He can talk about it all he likes. It's gotta change.

He does that every training camp with the 'Boys.

So, I'm beginning to thinking the reffing is getting either egregious or its playing to the way the outcomes of the games want to be determined (grassy knoll conspiracy).

We mention penalties, but a lot of that - once again - stemmed from our inability to defend the deep ball. Make of that what you like. You all see it, too.

I have long thought the Cowboys are NOT an intelligent football team. The lack of awareness, at times, is alarming. It's been that way for years and I don't see it changing anytime soon with the core we have.

Also, the officiating wasn't very good, but they missed calls both ways.

The turnovers are there, but the guys like to drop them when they are placed in their laps.

We kind of need a pash rush in my opinion. I see the coaches disagree.

but the thing is, why does he constantly need to remind his players to execute? it's their jobs, they shouldn't need wake-up calls to play good football, esp. wake-up calls that cost games

I like Parcells and I want him to stay. I do NOT feel sorry for him. I want him to do whatever it takes to FIX it. I hope he can figure this bunch out because I sure can't. He's being paid the big bucks, but I'll bet it doesn't feel very good right now.

I have no problem with the 2pt. conversion attempt. The same iffy call propelled us just LAST WEEK. We knew we would have more opportunities to get that point back.

Why Barber wasn't in the game when we are 1st and 10 at our half hard line continues to bother me. He's the better short yardage runner and we needed to move off the goal line.

How is a false start the coaches fault? How is dropping a sure TD the coaches fault? How is pass interference the coaches fault? You want him to bench them? If he had benched everyone that got a penalty team we could barely field a team!!!!

As far as playcalling goes, the Terry Glenn reverse was set up beautifully and he would still be running if Gurode makes his block. Colombo was standing out there with 15 yards of open space looking around trying to find someone to block. Instead, Gurode has a brain fart (surprise) and lets Carter run free (the only way Carter can make a play) and it knocks us out of field goal range.

The game is still 90% execution, 10% playcalling.

I agree. I don't have a problem going for two there. I don't mind seeing the team be aggressive. We played a team that was backed into a corner today. If we don't get our heads out of our arse we will be that team backed into that corner...if we aren't already.

He needs to bench Roy.

If I wasn't doing my job after 5 years and was making the same mistakes I would get fired.

This team needs Washington's enthusiasm coach.

It also needs their give-a-damn coach.

You assume they would not have gone for two earlier in the 4th.
