why feel sorry for Parcells? he's being paid almost 6 million a yr, and every yr we see the same crap from him...he's been the biggest (no pun intended) bust we've ever had

So blame is right along with paycheck total?

Then I think we should all blame Terrell Owens and Roy Williams. Their paychecks are pretty large also. As for Williams, we see the same thing from year to year with him, should he be labelled a bust also? Owens? Mister Jones knew what he was getting into. Perhaps we should examine how much Jones pays himself so we can assign blame.

He needs to bench Roy.

If I wasn't doing my job after 5 years and was making the same mistakes I would get fired.

Okay, and replace him with who? Abram Elam?

I say Marcus Coleman. He's a 10 year veteran. He probably knows his job by now.

Shift Davis to SS and put Coleman at FS.

I thought I'd seen us lose games in every possible way. I stand corrected. This team is indeed bi-polar, as another poster pointed out. You can always point to the specific plays or missed plays that technically decided the outcome of the game. But big picture, we lost because we enhanced too many Skins drives and killed too many of our own with stupid penalties. Talk about making things easier on the most penalized team in the league. This was a team loss...

Not for lack of trying, we also failed to execute any big plays on offense today- close doesn't count, especially with our collection of skill players. Owens' drops are really getting old. I read an article/blurb somewhere this week about the natural pass rush limitations of our lineman. We get all our push from the ends, creating a predictable horseshoe pocket nearly every passing play. Ware got a sack, but we are not getting it done as a D-line.

Fortunately, that MORON Owens didn't cost the team with his antics in the endzone...talk about undisciplined..and NOTE, not one player got in his face for it. Bad sign.

The endzone antics didn't fall victim to the play that Williams got called for a 50 yard penalty.

Those antics did not block for the FG either.

Everyone, unless you were deranged or just stupid, knew the risks associated with Owens. He was going to do things, he was going to essentially behave ignorantly from time to time. That has been in his past.

So when you angrily blame the village idiot for burning down the village even though the mayor gave him the matches, the commissioner looked the other way and the citizens led the charge as he did it?

I thought this team was mentally strong enough to deal with what Owens brought to the team.

I was apparently wrong.

I have no problem with the 2pt. conversion attempt. The same iffy call propelled us just LAST WEEK.

Last week, we went for two with 9:43 left in the game. That's a different situation.

I definitely don't think that would be an upgrade, but I gotta admit I didn't think about that lineup.

Deion did the same thing to this team.

If OJ Simpson was 230 lbs right now and ran a 4.2 40 Jones would sign him too.

How is a false start the coaches fault? How is dropping a sure TD the coaches fault? How is pass interference the coaches fault? You want him to bench them? If he had benched everyone that got a penalty team we could barely field a team!!!!
You better believe it's the coach's responsibility. Most of the players committing penalties are the guys he brought here, the guys he spends most of his waking hours with. Well-coached teams don't make these mistakes over and over again.

A few benchings might go a long ways with this team. So what if it costs us the game. Last time I checked, this team wasn't going anywhere come January.

Yep, pretty unbelievable. I definitely don't agree with it. RW occasionally gives up a play in coverage, but he makes quite a few plays as well.

It sure would have been nice to see him come down with that INT though.

I don't know that I'm for benching Roy. But I know that if things aren't working, and you don't change anything, the result likely won't change either.

So I guess it's OK if he blows assigments every single game. He hits hard.

It's like having a shiny sports car that breaks down on the freeway everytime you drive it.

To me, the 2-pt conversion call that's going to get sliced to death this week is overblown. You can't say we would've "won the game" with that point because it would've changed everything both teams did thereafter. You can justify the gamble using the same "first quarter" logic everyone is so upset about. Far more concerning to me is the fact that we've surrendered two friggin safeties in three games. Nobody loves JJ more than me, but anyone who's seen Barber run knows that he should get 100 percent of the carries when the objective is to move the ball out of our own end zone...

it's ok because he has the most takeaways on the team, players get beat, but ROy is still our biggest playmaker

All three division rivals have just feasted on the deep third of this secondary. And they should continue to do so. If not, they're stupid.

1-3 vs. the NFC East. Nice.
