I like it. (but JG won't). It's too creative which falls outside of the convention strategy we've beaten into the ground over the past 5 weeks.
Just watched the Seahawks game again this morning.....2 things really stood out...
1. Our TEs can't block...and I mean none of them. And why we continue to trot out that worthless 3 TE set is beyond me. We don't throw to the TEs in that formation....so we are not fooling anyone.
2. Doug Free is beyond horrible. People laugh when I say our winning streak last year started when Free broke his foot and was gone for the year.....but I don't think that is a coincidence. I'm not saying Parnell was a world beater....But Free kills so many drives for us....something needs to be done.
We really let one get away last week....And I fear that could haunt us later in the year. That silly time out fiasco/12 men on the field no penalty for Seattle was huge. That one play totally changed that game. We had momentum....And if we get that 1st down...I think we score a TD instead of a field goal...and it's a completely different ball game.
Also wanted to add...that is related to this origanal post....Not once did we lineup in a 4 WR/1 back set. Sometimes we would go w/ a no back look....and spread the field w/ the RB and TE split out wide....But we never threatened to run the ball. Why we are so fixated on our TEs is beyond me. There not that great. and we sure as hell don't know how to use them...besides Witten.
