They're going to luck into the 1 seed, and everyone is fawning all over them. #2 in ESPN's power rankings (we're #4), suddenly this "unstoppable force" again.

Meanwhile, we beat them. At their house. Both teams at full strength. And it wasn't that close. But that seems all but forgotten now, and it can't matter in the standings because Green Bay had to choke in Buffalo and make it a 3 way tie at 12 wins.

If there's any justice in this world, then STL and SF will win on Sunday. The Cowboys deserve the bye.

It's a shame that if we are in a 3 way tie with Green Bay and Seattle that we lose out in the tie breaker with them considering that both Green Bay and Dallas played Seattle and the Packers lost and we won.

The tie breaker shouldn't be conference record ahead of things like common opponents, imo. I mean the Packers played the NFC South this year while we had to play the NFC West. Tell me how it's fair to use conference records as the 1st tie breaker when knowing that?

If the Rams were in the NFC South, they'd win the division.

We played Seattle's d when they were in a slump. The d now is totally different.

Everyone keeps talking about their 5 game win streak and how good their defense has been.

Take a look at the QBs they've faced during that 5 game win streak:

Stanton
Kaepernick
Sanchez
Kaepernick
Lindley
and coming up this week?

Shaun Hill. Watch out.

Yep. Seattle is the most overrated team in the NFL. Only teams that scare me are good passing teams -- Green Bay in the NFC and New England and Denver if we make the Super Bowl. Even Pittsburgh and Detroit can cause problems. But Seattle doesn't scare me.

If this was the 70s, someone would have broken the legs or necks of Marshawn Lynch & Richard Sherman by now. 2 classless jerks.

Seattle is far from overrated. They are one of the top teams in the NFL. They have been playing top end football these last few weeks and they are the defending super bowl champions.

It's not their fault that they won more conference games then us. SF, Arizona, Washington and Philly we should/could have won a few more there. I'll be glad to play them, in their house, in the playoffs.

They may be one of the top teams. But I'll reiterate. We beat them in their house and it wasn't even that close. Without the anomaly plays we would've blown them out. They couldn't stop us and couldn't score.

Any team is beatable in the NFC...there are kinks in the armor of all of the teams (including Dallas)...other than the NFCS home game, this should be a good tournament to watch....

Damn. That puts things in perspective.

I have to admit, I'm kind of tired of, and annoyed at, constantly hearing how the Seahawks are "a different team now" vs when the played us. And that they "have their swagger back". "Poised to repeat".

We'll see about all that when they play a team with a real offense.

Yes...because they were 3-1 and had the #1 rush d and defense when we played them.

I agree with the sentiment that they have played a string of not so good qbs more than anything...

They were missing Bobby Wagner when we played them and were still messing with the Percy Harvin experiment. Wagner completely changes that defense, and w/o Harvin, Bevell has quit the jet sweep college stuff and gone back to what they do best. I didn't watch the game, but they dropped 35 and *600* on an until then very stout defense. They may be overrated, but they are not the same team we played in week six.

Having said all that, I must also say JUST WIN, BABY!

Wagner started in that game against us and was getting pushed around with everyone else when he was hurt.
