well you totally choke as a poster so it all evens out

Burm, your Romo man-love is really making you hard to get along with. Romo doesn't have much more time in this league before he retires. Maybe you can chill when he is gone.

Roger, Troy , Irvin , etc, were different . I am sure that many posters will disagree, but I have a much higher level of respect for players that helped the Cowboys to Super Bowl wins. For some reason I don't think as highly of Ware as I do the guys with the rings.

I'm emotionally attached to the players that helped the Cowboys win SB's. Staubach retiring was one of the toughest days for me as a Cowboys fan and I'm sure it was for many. What made it even tougher was he wasn't showing any signs of decline. He had his best statistical season his final year in 79. Even though Aikman and Emmitt were in decline when they were released it was a sad day in Cowboys Nation having to move on from 2 players who were such a huge part of the Cowboys 90's dynasty that dominated the decade winning 3 championships. I like Ware he more than lived up to the expectations many of us had for him when he was drafted becoming one of the greatest sack masters of his era but his release didn't leave a lump in my throat because in his 9 seasons in Dallas he only played on 3 playoff teams and was part of only one playoff win.

It certainly wasn't his fault the Cowboys weren't more successful he never had a real good supporting cast around him on defense for most of his career and the team became more dysfunctional with every head coaching change. The Cowboys went through 3 head coaches and 4 DC's in his 9 seasons. Ware's last 4 years in Dallas the Cowboys have been a joke. Some may think I am emotionally attached to him because I wasn't happy with his release. I wasn't happy because the Cowboys don't have a solid replacement to step in for him. Lawrence is a rookie that even Jerry admitted he over paid for to move up and select. He was a need pick but is an unproven player at the NFL level. It''s hard replacing a future HOF player the Cowboys found that out with Aikman and Emmitt. It took several #1's and a #2 before the Cowboys finally hit on Ware.

you can tell the real fans from the so called fans easily in a thread like this.

Yeah because if you don't cry like a little baby, and get all emotional like a teenage female, you are not a real fan.

I agree with you burm

The players that have been part of the team over the last several years have all had major questions about their leadership, clutch ability and talent. Some of concerns were valid , some were not. IMO, these guys that made the core of the team will have a hard time being thought of in the same way as Roger, Troy, Randy, Bob , etc, because they never won a championship. It is much easier to see the greatness in players and overlook their faults when they have a ring. Another thing that prevents me from having any emotional attachment is free agency. It is hard to have any kind of emotional attachment when I know that at contract time, he is gone.

Two players I have no emotional attachment to that were part of the Cowboys championship teams are Deion and Charles Haley neither were true Cowboys. Although Haley was a huge part of the Cowboys 3 SB wins in the 90's I'm still bothered that Jerry added him to the ROH. He spent 8 of his 13 seasons in SF and he ended his career with SF. It's pretty obvious where his heart was.

The day DeMarcus Ware was released as a Dallas Cowboy I shed a tear. I rode around for a few hours and cried when I got home and my gf asked what was wrong I said it was allergies. It was time to move on though.

Yet Romo, who wasnt a 1st rounder, or any rounder for that matter doesnt get the same sympathy while a division rival goofball QB gets all the praise as his teams carried him to rings.

Go figure.

I believe that Ware will be the topic of conversation on this board quite a bit during this season.I don't think he's anywhere near done, and he has a real good year in Denver.

I'm completely detached from Romo. Just honest with what I see. The majority of people out there believe he is a choker, I share that opinion. You on the other hand think he is elite. So yeah, pot meet kettle.

Do you always lie to yourself like this? lmao What a crock! lol

And they're even more realer by the amount of online followers they have.

You have claimed to have over 8 million online followers so you must be a big time fan. Looking at your post total and # of likes, if that equates to a real big time fan with over 8 million online followers then my post total which is roughly half of yours but with roughly twice as many likes must mean that I have, what, like 16 million online followers or more? Or would it be more like 32 million?

That includes players like Smith and Bryant, right? The whole major questions about leadership, clutch play, and talent ...

The bigger the FAN and the more positives you post the more likes you'll have which equates to credibility in your book. lol

Man, Romo is such a lightning rod for opinions.

There are some really good fans that can hold a very good conversation about football and that I typically agree with... and then when it comes to Romo, they are a complete 180 from how I feel about Romo.

It is amazing that someone who I agree with just about everything they post can think the polar opposite of what I do regarding Tony Romo.

Fascinating really.

That's your theory not mine. I'm sure you're a 5x more positive FAN than me. I don't come here to seek approval from the FANS on the board to pad my like total. You don't dare miss a day of posting or submit less than 20 posts per day in fear you won't maintain your like goals for the week. lol Gosh knows you don't want to slip a spot on what you perceive as a credibility list.
