Myth. If Jerry really wanted, he could afford Suh. And Murray. And Dez. The salary cap is organic, it can be manipulated. Contracts can be renegotiated, money can be pushed back. The author concludes that Suh to Dallas is a fantasy but his own words do not support it.

The Cowboys can create the money to fit Suh under the cap. They absolutely have the cash to do it as well. If Murray leaves, then that would give them more room to sign Suh. They might be able to keep Murray and sign Suh if they really wanted to get creative.

I highly doubt Suh will be a Cowboy. You shouldn't hand out these ridiculous contracts for $60m guaranteed to any player in today's NFL. If you have one hole (like Pats last year with CB), then you can spend huge for a 2-year deal with 2nd year as option like Pats did with Revis, It's bad business to lock up so much $ with one or two players with the exception of QB. Even though you can get push $ back and re-do contracts, it does force you to sometimes cut players a year or two early (Ware). I hope Dallas doesn't sign Sugh, and doesn't sign Dez long-term. Franchising Dez this year and next is the best move for long-term success and roster building..
